Knight Rider Encores Tonight

I love Knight Rider i can't wait for it to hit series.....

I did see the Knight Rider movie on Sunday, but I want to see it again. Good job. I also hope for it to become a series.

It amazes me the people who are slamming this movie. It was a good piece of story telling. Yes, too many commercials. However, the producers, writers, and actors have stayed very true to the original.

I wonder how much complaining everyone will do if, and I doubt it will ever happen, Glen Larson gets a feature film made. It will totally remake the franchise.

I bet the people who are saying it stinks will tune in when this becomes a television show, if only so they can come onto the web, and write their own horrible abominations of what they think Knight Rider is. Everyone does not have talent!

True to the original! That's way too funny. I first off want to commend Justin Bruening for his superb acting! He made his character Mike Tracer come alive. I would easily see traits of "Michael Knight" in Tracer.

As for "true to original".. not at all. I found the movie lacking many of the Knight Rider core concepts. There was little distinction between the car and KITT ... as was in the show.

Now the car is vulnerable without the computer??? Ridiculous! What happened to the Foundation's Molecular bonded shell?

And in 2008 with increased security now KITT can get hacked more easily than the original.

KITT himself lacked personality/very stoic... I liked the voice but just too many of the comments seemed more like KARR than KITT especially KITT's use of "Negative" which was always a KARR favorite.

Even the car was a joke. It basically looked like a stock Ford SVT with minor dash changes.

Scene with Michael Knight... hmmm... did not not want to even say hello to KITT.

All in all.. maybe many of these things will be explained later in the series. I'm willing to tune in and find out. Hopefully the writers of the show will read some of my comments and take them to heart!

I'm not wanting to see an exact reply of Knight Rider from the '80s but I do expect the "soul" of the show to remain.

i agree this wasnt true to the orginal at all come on apart from the metions of MK and a few other mentions of KR how can people say this was true to the orginal

i bet if glen larsen watched this he must have been thinking "you know what im glad im bringing a knight rider movie out at least people will get a real knight rider"

i do have to admit justin was great in this (the only good thing bout it) he the 'hoff' look about him,least the writers accually got a good person to play the lead role,thats prob the only good thing they did in this show

as for the commericals i just downloaded the knightrider online the day after it aired it has no commericals so that was good,it made it end quicker haha

just wish they would have gotten william daniels to play the role of kitt

yea weird how the writers didnt make MK say hello to kitt,but then again kitt wouldnt know who he was since it was a different kitt AND NO MENTION OF DEVON WTF!!!

to me this show was a bit too lovey dovey,and not enough knight rider thats why i think it sucked o yea and no turbo boost,just a crappy mustang which prob would have fallen apart if turbo boost was added lol,,not to mention the crap colour change and the computer holding the car together HAHAHA how great lol

i think that it stinks when they do something like this cause it only ruins the original series i mean like you know how usually the first movie of a series is always the best of all of them i think that this is the same and i think that when they do stuff like this it shows lack of new talent cause they have copy something thats already been done i mean come on people you have no more talent to be coming up with new stuff so you have to COPY great shows just like the whole dukes of hazzard and them making a movie and it wasnt even with the original cast i mean come on that just sucks ass cause the original was the best and they only ruin it when they try stuff like this. i guess that sums is it up and im sure that others will feel the same as i do so i REALLY REALLY hope that it doesnt become a series if you want to watch knight rider then rent the original series and see how much cooler it was than this piece of crap show they are trying to make. or you can even check it out on netflix if you have an account.

Ok, I was wrong. I was not looking forward to seeing KITT as a mustang, but my gosh! You go KITT! It was really sharp. I do agree about the personality thing. The origional KITT and a personality. This KITT is more KARR. He's blah. Come on people. The origional KITT was more human. This one is more like a talking computer. Bring back William Daniels or something, just please, give KITT some personality!

I watched Sunday and caught the end of tonight's rerun. I really, really hope that this does go to series. I completely agree with you about KITT's peronality, Danial. I'm hoping the new show explains what happened to the original KITT- mainly, the AI of the original K2000. I'm looking forward to the series! With such ratings from Sunday, I would hope NBC would pick this show up for the Fall schedule!

I thought it was great. In addition, I truly enjoyed seeing David appear and make notice that his greatness, is now pasted onto another generation. These kida today have no idea what the 80's were about.

Sure, there are questions that have not been answered, but I think if it does get made into a series this will be addressed.

The original Knight Rider never ended with a proper goodbye or a hint of what would become of the characters. I think the new one may offer the fans that.

About the Molecular Bonded Shell arguement. I've been thinking, surely if the new KITT had that it wouldn't be able to shape shift?

Anyway, if you still haven't seen it, don't let the haters put you off. I loved the old series and I still watch them. This is a welcome addition.

I enjoyed the new KITT and i think it is good for a new version of KITT, i don't think that another car could fit better into the role of KITT, like Supra or Corvette Z06 or any other similar cars, the Mustang does not resemble the classic Kitt in any way yet i felt it was so familiar. The overall acting and story was good but i do have to complain about David's acting :( tough he is the first actor that became one of my favorites, his acting is not so good these days, even tough his appearance was short he somehow almost ruined the end for me, i do hope he will get his act up again if/when the show starts airing and if he will be part of it, i really want to see him perform as good as in the old days. About Kitt, i like it just as much as the old one, but just like everyone else i think that Kitt lacks the personality of the old one, he laks the sarcasm and jokes , i'm not saying that this Kitt isn't good as it is right now but, i mean it is a car, it shouldn't be too human like the old one was, but still a little more personality wouldn't hurt.

A promising start for the hopefully new Knight Rider series.

I enjoyed the new KR but not sure about the new characters. I am willing to give it some time to see if I can warm up to the characters besides Michael Tracer. I did think they chose well on that one. As far as MK speaking to KITT, it may very well be that he still has the original KITT. This is a three thousand you know. And keeping KITT a GM? What do they have that looks as hot as a Mustang Cobra? My dream car was a 1967 Mustang Cobra GT500 convertible with a roll bar. Unfortunately, there were times when the car looked "flimsey" during the action scenes. But if you look at the old series, you will see the drivers seat move back and forth terribly when MK kept jumping in and out. The Firebird was not made that well either. Pontiac is the bottom of the line for GM. I hope the series continues. Then we will get answers about Devon and the rest. Oh, yeah, the original KITT had not much of a personality in the beginning. He had to grow into it.

i think the new knight rider is sweet. everybody talks about ruining the first series, but how do you guys expect it to be the same. it is over 20 years later. do you expect them to use the same trans am and having david hasselhoff drive it. even if they did do that it wouldnt be the same and everyone would have something to say about it. it is just like the new rocky. it was good but just not the same. plus that mustang is way tighter than a 80's trans am.i think the plot to kick of the new knight rider was really smart. and you can tell kitts personallity will actually build when the show goes on.

I was disheartened to find out this wasn't the season premiere of the new Knight Rider but, rather a "movie" to test interest. I LOVED the old show and hated the thought of a Mustang but, quickly changed my mind and thought yes, with a bit more personality...bomb! The characters were believable enough...didn't like KITT getting hacked so easy...but, I REALLY HOPE THIS BECOMES A SERIES!!!

You people are deluding yourselves regarding this Glen A. Larson movie. It ain't ever gonna happen. He's too old, nobody wants to make/bankroll the thing, and if they did it wouldn't pull the audience required for a feature film today. Check the signature count for the online "petition". It's laughable. This pipe dream has been going on for several years, and nothing has come of it. So you better be content with the new TV version, and hope it gets carried over into a series, because that's the only way "Knight Rider" is ever going to exist again.

I loved the movie I hope it becomes a series. It is a show I know my son will be able to watch and I can worry less about the content. Thanks for making a car show without all the graphic violence and half dressed women.

I hated the idea of a Mustang because the pictures I saw didn't have the lights ( a must have!) and was thrilled to see them in the new car.
I also wasn't sure about remaking it. But I am glad it isn't a remake it is a continuing story, with the next generation.

I watched knightrider as a kid in the 80's, I love tat show. I am glad to see that there's a new one coming out. I watch the movies the other day and happy they are still following the story from the 80's. I really can't wait to tv series. Oh good choice of car for the new kitt.

My family is really excited about this program. WE have waited years for this. There are not very many shows on tv worth watching. We have Directv and a lot of the stuff is bad. We need more things family can watch.

WOW, Marcelle Long, I couldn't possibly agree with you more. You're right. I hardly do see anything on television worth watching nowadays and If this becomes a new series, IT WOULD BE A HIT. FINALLY, a show that would be worth watching, to show the rest of these WANNA BE tv shows what it's ALL about. IT'S ABOUT TIME that they show the good stuff. Especially the car. It's ALL ABOUT THE FAST CAR DAMN IT.

Alot of people are complaining about KITT being a mustang you've got to admit it is a bad ass looking car in the 80's the transam was the best looking car for the role but times have changed the body style was the right choice i mean nothing under the hood would be ford just like nothing under the old kitts hood was GM you want an intimidating car this was the best choice

i just seen Knight Rider (2008) Pilot I am glad to see that there's a new one coming out.

This show rocks! Much better than the original. I always thought it was ridiculous that they had to speed up the film to make the car seem to go faster.

As for KITT being a Mustang, who's to say that he can't morph into a Camaro, or a BMW, or a MERCEDES, or anything else? For all we know, he can become an F-14 LOL (okay, maybe that's an exaggeration).
