"High Tides For A Remake Promised To Make Waves"

Image

In a press release dated March 23, 2006, Revolut!on executive Dan Johanson stated, "The 'Knight Rider' Movie project has been abandoned because David Hasselhoff was offered more money to explore a remake to "Baywatch." Apparently, Hasselhoff's role of "Lt. Mitch Buchannon" will be brought back to life in an exciting movie version. Hasselhoff has planned to team up with Revolut!on and the original Baywatch creators Michael A. Berk, Gregory B. Bonann, Douglas C. Schwartz. An anonymous source said, "There will be some minor changes to 'Baywatch'...nothing we can't get around. In all honesty, Revolut!on doesn't want to do the movie on the beach. They want snow and they do not want the lifeguards to talk in this one. The board is not convinced that female lifeguards will talk in the 21st century and scientific studies are showing that people will not be enjoying the beach in futuristic times. Hell, a major earthquake may destroy our California beach anyway."

It has also been reported that Xclavocom, the makers of sand grains found on the beach, were swarmed with letters from fans of the "Baywatch" series. Apparently, the fans wanted the same kind of sand, beautiful water, and beautiful weather as appeared on "Baywatch." The marketing team at Xclavocom did not see this as a realistic request seeing as though producing this special type of sand, water, and weather would violate most environmental health codes in the state of California. Mike Oxlittle, vice-president of the development and research division at Xclavocom, had this to say "These people are out of their minds! We're a sand company! Sand! S-A-N-D! What is wrong with these people?" With that, Xclavocom released a 36,115 page report about the improper use of Xclavocom sand grains and cited 24 counts (of "improper representation" and "manupulation" of their products) against the producers of "Baywatch" and the following distributors:

All Amer!can Television
LBS Commun!cations Inc.
National Broadcast!ng Company (NBC) (1989-1990)
Pearson All-Amer!can Television (1999) (worldwide) (TV)
Pearson Television Internat!onal
The Fremantle Corporat!on (worldwide)

The producers of "Baywatch" and its distributors were ordered remove the Xclavocom logos from each grain of sand and cease referring to the sand as "Sand." Apparently, "sand" is a copyrighted product which was coined and is produced solely by Xclavocom.

To avoid the threat of a lawsuit, Revolut!on Public Relations Manager Robin D. Cradle said, "To heck with that! They can shove it! To heck with their beach all together." The board at Revolut!on is planning for the project to begin in the warmer months of July in Antarctica. Revolut!on is pushing for a 2008 release with David Hasselhoff starring in a lead role.

We recently attempted to ask the board members at Revolut!on about their thoughts on David Hasselhoff working on the project. Although most board members refused to accept our phone calls, there was one supervisor that was more than happy to talk to us. Mike Huntswide, talent supervisor for Revolut!on, said "We're excited about having Hasselhoff on board. Most of all, he and the original creative team agreed to drop the lawsuit if we made this movie. Thats the most important thing. I can't believe we're paying this 'has-been' the money we're paying him, but we hope our check doesn't bounce before this debockel is over. Besides, who wants to see a talking car when you can see the remake of 'Baywatch' on the silver screen?!"

When asked if Pamela Anderson will return as "Casey Jean 'C.J.' Parker," Huntswide replied, "At this point, I cannot confirm nor deny her involvement in this project. During a test shooting in the arctic, she developed a bad case of frost-bitten nipples. But we expect that she will make a full recovery." Pamela Anderson could not be reached for comment.

It has not been disclosed when or if the "Knight Rider" project will be picked up at a later date. Robin D. Cradle had this to say about the Knight Rider project, "We're pretty dog-gone optomistic about the 'Knight Rider' project in our own way. We're pretty positive that we do not want to make the 'Knight Rider' movie. We are extremely optomistic that Hasselhoff will take the money, enjoy his 15 minutes of fame on the 'Baywatch' project, and forget about the 'Knight Rider' project all together. We want to do just enough to do our part so that they drop this lawsuit under the agreed terms. We promised him a movie and BY GOLLY, he's gonna get a movie. I will say this much about any possibilities with 'Knight Rider.' There may be future talks about using the likeness of Michael Knight and K.I.T.T. in a commercial for a certain bottled water company!" David Hasselhoff could not be reached for comment.

For all you "Baywatch" fans, be ready for a comeback that is promised to turn heads and raise excitement. David Hasselhoff and "Baywatch 2008" are coming to a theater near you!

Do you yahooo? If not, what is wrong with you? Are you out of your damn mind? Don't you know this is a joke? What is a "yahooo" anyway? Can you shop for a "yahooo"? Is it even in the dictionary? Try your butt off to find out more at http://www.yahooo.com/wtf?/lmao/board.p ... ker/696969

I want the talking car!!

So I take it Revolution don't like Hasselhoff much, eh? It looks like they just want to give him this stupid baywatch film to get him off their backs and be done with it.

It will flop, nobody will pay to see lifeguards prowling the beach, saving the occasional soul in trouble.

So sad.

Revolution are making a big mistake but then it's not a surprise because not many companies realise how big KR still is with people.

No comment about DH's uninteresting divorce; instead, I wish DH well with the "Baywatch" movie, and hope for the best.
Maybe it's just as well that the "Knight Rider" movie idea flopped, which allows a lot of time for DH and crew to properly regroup to get a good movie going.
Ok, that's falling on deaf ears.....  :? :? :? :?

I agree with you Lyn, there has been so much the Hoff has been through lately in his personal life alone. Although I would love to see a KR movie, just knowing that the Hoff is working again, (april fools or not), is a good thing...

Thanks for that support, scottab21; it sure is welcome!
I've lost interest in the overblown publicity surrounding
"the Hoff's" divorce, and hopefully his career will matter to the media more eventually once again instead, since it seems like the media is stuck in DH divorce neutral, which has become pretty laughable now. Oh, well...

As other people have noticed, yes the article is a joke. There is NO news in there whatsoever.

Thanks guys! For those smart enough to know that this article was a joke, thank you for using intelligence. With that same intelligence, I hope many of you are looking past the smoke screens that are being thrown in our faces in regards to this movie. I had to make a joke about the whole thing. This "story" was based on the true and stupid events that really occurred and circle this entire Knight Rider Movie. I had to write an article that pokes fun of the whole thing but add a ridiculous spin to it. I think my mission was accomplished.

-I think the whole idea for the car (in the movie remake) not to "talk" was ridiculous. Any fan and any person that understood the series will understand why.

-The idea that Pontiac would pull out of a an opportunity to design a concept car for the show because the fans were making unrealistic requests to build a real product is ridiculous. It was ridiculous for Pontiac to order the studio to pull all logos off the car and cease referring to the car as a "Trans Am." The figures showed that there was an increase in sales in black Trans Ams (with beige interior) when the show was popular. Building a real car or not, Pontiac was making money. Why go as far as they did? So yes, I wrote a parody about a company that produces grains of sand and they order the production company to remove each logo from each GRAIN OF SAND. How ridiculous and petty is that? Who believed that "sand" is copyrighted or created by a company? That within itself was a joke.

-Moving the filming of Baywatch from the beach to Antarctica? That is a parody of any stupid notion to change any aspect of the Knight Rider movie. (Exploring possibilities of the car talking OR NOT, replacing characters, etc.)

-WHERE DOES THIS LINK ( http://www.pphinfo.com/find.jsp )TAKE YOU WHEN YOU CLICK ON IT? I don't know about the rest of you, but this whole movie fiasco gives me a good case of hemorrhoids.

-Pamela Anderson's frost-bitten nipples?? Come on!

-In the article, it was quoted: "Besides, who wants to see a talking car when you can see the remake of 'Baywatch' on the silver screen?!" Its sad to say, but may movie exectutives have this way of thinking about many movies. They really think they are in touch with the fans and vision of the movie.

-I poke fun of any and all creative issues reported by the media and creative ideas brought to the table by fans that claim to "know Knight Rider and its characters more than anybody in the whole world." Do you honestly think any of the producers or creators are reading these posts and care about our ideas?

-Look at names like "Mike Huntswide," "Mike Oxlittle," and "Robin D. Cradle." Say those names out loud as fast as you can and think about what they really say. Yes, the names were jokes within themselves.

-I used Baywatch as a parody because a Baywatch remake is just as important as any other worthless remake and any other movie that these producers try to convince themselves, the media, and us that these remakes are "great movies that the fans want." B/S! Do you hear me? B/S!!!!!!!

-The article stated that Hasselhoff dropped the Knight Rider project to pursue other opportunites. Another joke .....but... What is the truth? Who knows! What I DO know is that a Knight Rider movie has been promised since 2003 and people are seriously dragging their butts to deliver on that promise.

-Did any of you REALLY read the last few lines of the article? "Do you yahooo? If not, what is wrong with you? Are you out of your damn mind? Don't you know this is a joke? What is a "yahooo" anyway? Can you shop for a "yahooo"? Is it even in the dictionary? Try your butt off to find out more at http://www.yahooo.com/wtf?/lmao/board.p ... ker/696969 "

-I poke fun of the whole debate over who will be in the new movie. Will Hasselhoff be in it? Will he have a son? What will the car look like? Will it be serious or a comedy? Will the voice of KITT be in it? Will KARR and his voice be in it? WHY debate over creative issues that the fans are obviously not going to have control over? I look at these posts and they go in circles and circles and circles discussing the same topics over and over. I bet the producers and creators of this movie are reading these posts and laughing their butts off.

Why do I poke fun? Because I have recently realized that many of these posts have been a ridiculous waste of time that continues to spin in a circle that is not going anywhere. What has any of these topics accomplished besides pointing out that all of us want to see a good remake of a series we all loved?

Is it really necessary to debate or imagine KITT as anything other than a black Trans Am? Also, its been 23 years since the show started. Does it make sense to place a man (who has aged in 23 years) in the same 1983 setting with the same looking car that did the exact same things it did in 1983? IS it really necessary to be blind to the fact that it has been 23 years and Hasselhoff has aged? Is it necessary to be blind to the fact that (in the world of the Foundation For Law and Government) that life and technology and KITT may be somewhat different AFTER 23 YEARS?

HERE IS SOME REALITY.... The movie will be made despite any of our input. So all we can do is hope and pray that Hasselhoff and the creative team have the balls to make a quality movie. THATS ALL we can hope for.

YES, THIS STUPID ARTICLE WAS A STUPID PARODY OF THE STUPID DIRECTIONS THIS MOVIE IS ALLEGEDLY GOING. ANY ACTOR, PRODUCER, FAN, WRITER, OR DIRECTOR WOULD BE STUPID TO TAMPER WITH SUCCESS BY NOT ALLOWING THE CAR TO TALK OR MAKING THIS MOVIE INTO A COMEDY. THE MOVIE MUST HAVE AS MUCH OF THE ORIGINAL CAST AS POSSIBLE. THE MOVIE MUST HAVE KITT, THE VOICE OF KITT, AND A PLOT THAT IS FULL OF ACTION, SUSPENSE, AND LOYALTY TO THE ORIGINAL VISION OF THE SERIES. THE MOVIE NEEDS TO TAP INTO ALL THE CREATIVE AND EXCITING ASPECTS THAT MADE KNIGHT RIDER A SUCCESS. GO BACK TO THE EPISODES WITH THE HIGHEST RATINGS. GO BACK TO THE STUNTS, PLOTS, AND BAD GUYS THAT WERE MOST MEMORABLE. GO BACK TO THE BEGINNING AND START FROM THERE. MAKE SOMETHING THAT WILL HAVE A GREATER IMPACT ON OLD AND NEW FANS AFTER 23 YEARS. WITHOUT THAT SAME CHEMISTRY, ENERGY, AND IMPACT.... ANYTHING ELSE IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME.

THE TEAM OF INDIVIDUALS THAT ARE WORKING ON THIS MOVIE NEED TO PROVIDE FANS WITH MORE UP-TO-DATE INFORMATION SO THAT SPECULATION AND RUMORS CAN BE ELIMINATED.

THIS MOVIE NEEDS TO PUT TO REST ANY RUMORS, MYTHS, DOUBTS, CONCERNS, AND UNRESOLVED ISSUES THAT HAVE BEEN CREATED IN THE LAST 23 YEARS!

ANYTHING ELSE IS S-T-U-P-I-D !!!!!

Okay... parts of what you are saying is really interesting and I do agree with you. It is indeed very frustruating to hear the same thing over and over again by different people in different websites with different topics and different conclusions. This movie has been delayed for maybe 3 or 4 years now and none of the producers nor Hasselhoff himself haven't got any plans whatsoever of sharing their decisions with their own fans!!! He has got his own website with his own "NEWS ARCHIVE" for god sake and nothing is really on there!!! What the H*E*L*L*??? People are waiting here and no one knows for sure as to wether the movie is on or off!? We are all in the same boat, and we all want a good quality movie. I know, it sounds a bit wierd to revive a 23-year-old-TV-show and make a new movie about it and they really have to work their asses off to make it as good as the Matrix movies or The Lord Of The Rings! I am not sayng that they should make an exact copy of one of those, but if you compare of how much money they put into those two movies you can see that there is a hard competition and one has to break that barrier in order to make a good quality movie instead of a comedy as you stated...

Well they did come out with the Dukes movie. I haven't seen it but some people liked it and some didn't. Maybe David is trying to keep the movie from being like the Dukes movie.
