Andromeda Strain/KR/12 Monkeys connection

First off, I apologize if someone already posted this.

Anyways, I was checking out the trivia section for "12 Monkeys" when I came across the following:

"A quick clip from The Andromeda Strain (1971) featuring a monkey in the throes of death, is seen on the dayroom television during a news report about the cruelty of using animal subjects in medical research."

The above mentioned clip is seen where Bruce Willis is sitting in the dayroom, drugged up and Brad Pitt's character has the key to the gate. After rewatching the movie, I came to realize the clip of the monkey in the throes of death seen in "12 Monkeys" was also featured in "Knight Rider". The clip appears as a video for the testing of a deadly bacteria in the episode "Knight Sting".

Of course, I'm going to need someone else who has seen both to confirm my statement. Now, I'm not so sure, but I was positive at the time of posting it that it was the same clip.
