Is Michael the rightful heir of Wilton's fortune?

Post by The shadowy flight » Mon Oct 31, 2011 5:16 pm

I just wondered, seeing "Knight in shining armor", concering the subject legacy; when Michael became "Knight", did he also inherit the wealth of Wilton's fortune and legacy, besides Jennifer? Or is he paid by Devon as a trustee? Does Devon also manage "Knight Industries", if theoretically Michael was "adopted" by Wilton?

I think at the end of knight of the phoenix pilot episode,Michael mentions how he had all the money and all the resources of the knight foundation.Another scene you take into consideration is at the end of Deadly maneuvers Michael has to give Devon a list of expenses to get paid for what he needed to get the mission a success.By Goliath Michael had to give up everything he won at the casino back to the foundation and placed all his pocket change to look for 20 dollars which he couldn't find to bet with kitt's system. While Michael was able to get a breifcase full of cash whenever he needed it for a mission through Devon,I highly doubt he was the rightful heir to Wilton's fortune. But if you think about his sense of honor,Michael said he could have probably changed his name back to Long at the end of a Good Knight's work but decided to keep the name given to him of the person who saved his life that fateful night in the desert. If he truelly was Wilton's heir he also wouldn't have been treated so badly at that knight industries board meeting in knight of the juggernaught either.

I've felt that Wilton put Devon in charge of F.L.A.G.'s financial situation until Jennifer was a certain age to handle F.L.A.G. and Knight Industries. And I think Micheal really didn't want to be the heir, but rather take Wilton's beliefs to help others. I wonder why they didn't explain what happened to Jennifer Knight in the 08' series? Somehow the Knight namesake has no connection to the funding, since Sarah Graiman ended up getting the money to her own account.

I'm not surprised at all that Jennifer Knight's status wasn't mentioned at all since the show's only hint from any past kr history was the undercover name drop of Bonnie and Devon. What's next a dog is now named RC3?.Sid makes an appearence as a shoe buffer's box?

Aise aside from this new car being named Kitt and the K standing for Knight Industries which also had a shared history of new technology since 82 with the missiles from knight of the iguanna, and knight research,I don't think the show pushed on its routes of most of the connection to Knight Industries and more emphasis was pushed onto the new government connection. They were working for a department of the F.B.I. or N.S.A or something along those lines.
