TV Without Pity: What To Watch

Knight Rider
Premieres Wednesday, September 24th, 8 PM, NBC
The Good: The classic series was cheesy fun, and since it's really a show all about the car, KITT looks very technically cool.

The Bad: Did you see the TV-movie last spring? It was pretty terrible. A weekly series about the same thing doesn't really get the blood pumping.

The Verdict: The gearheads that watched and gave the movie high ratings will probably love it, but everyone else should really steer clear. Very clear.

Why do I keep hearing or seeing "last Spring" in relation to when the Knight Rider 2008 pilot was
premiered? It was first shown in February. Since when was the month February part of Spring?

Because they don't care enough to get anything right, just like everyone involved with production repeatedly saying that the series will be very different from the pilot and it being ignored by many "critics".
The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great! :skar:

I think the end of Feb marks the start of the Spring tv season. Just like the series starting in mid-late Sept is the start of the Fall tv season. Since most of the programming exists in those seasons, they mark them as that. The Winter and Summer seasons are just tv specials and reruns.

I also find such commentary as in that article unhelpful. "What to watch" implies to me that the person writing it has seen some if not all of at least the first episode of the show and can tell us from an informed standpoint whether to watch. This sounds more like "We didn't like the movie in February and took no effort to pay attention to anything said or advertised about the series, so it sucks." The series (so far) seems to have made quite a few changes from the movie. I hope they make the difference and prove folks like these wrong!
