Here it is. No KARR plate. Is it me or the spoiler is positioned a tad too high?

And the fog lights don't match either of the 2 KITT's. *sigh*

I think that's just the case with the particular model used in those pictures, HondaSiR. If you look above the side-view picture, the door on the opposite side seems to be aligned properly as well as the car in the box.HondaSiR wrote:In the picture of KARR above (Turboman's pics with no license plate), it appears that the silver paint below the tail light assembly is done rather sloppily. And the two-tone paint on the driver side door is not alligned with the body's paint job.
How Ertl could neglect to put any plate on the car at all is just inexcusable, though. One positive aspect about this version, however, is that those pesky little black dots are gone from the fog lights. Of course, it would have been even better if Ertl used the same quality lights that were used for their first version of K.I.T.T. with the amber lenses. Oh, well.
Also, interestingly enough, Ertl's version of K.A.R.R. has the same yellow paint on his voice modulator that the Aoshima version had── another inconsistency with their KITT model. And, as far as I can tell anyway, it appears as though KARR still has the amber scanner.

I'm not thrilled with the front nose on either die cast model (KITT or KARR) and KARR's silver went a bit around the fender as well where in the pictures it's omitted.
I was going to get both die casts but I decided now not to, even though the lights work, etc. I'm currently trying to build up a KITT and black/silver KARR from AMT/ERTL reissue KITT model kits. I am an experienced enough modeler that I think I can get a (hopefully) more accurate presentation. Though even my models won't be very accurate, I plan to bring out in them the features I loved most in both cars.
