Based on this powerseller from ebay, KARR will be due out in September, 2005. Here's the link to his preselling KARR auction:

There's a few things I don't like about this.
1. Anywhere I have looked on the net, I can never see the scanner to see what colour it is for myself.
2. No one realy seems to know an exact relase date.
I agree 100% the scanner has to be yellow, it won't be Karr otherwise.
And on the release date, I think we'll just have to wait, as is part and parcel for anything KR, Waiting

I can tell you that the Aoshima version's is amber/orange. I'm assuming Ertl's will be the same, but only time will tell.whet wrote:Anywhere I have looked on the net, I can never see the scanner to see what colour it is for myself.
I've made a few trips to Radio Shack to see if I could buy some clear 3mm yellow LEDs but I can only find the 3mm yellow tinted LEDs in variety packs. It's the same effect either way, but the models use the clear LEDs and I wanted to be consistent with my K.I.T.T. model.
I'll have to buy 3 variety packs to get 5 yellow LEDs and solder them into my model. I'm not sure if they even make the 3mm clear yellow LEDs; I've found every color in 3mm except yellow.

that is what i had to do for my custom karr. there are a few places that sell the yellow 3mm LEDs online. i just picked up the ones from R/S for a quick fix. they actually even have different shades of yellow LEDs available on the one site with various brightnesses to choose from. i got wrapped up in othe things like usual and never got around to ordering them. i may have book marked the site. if i can find it, i will post it in here.Lost Knight wrote:whet wrote:I'll have to buy 3 variety packs to get 5 yellow LEDs and solder them into my model. This is the only remote control KITTs & KARRs I know of. I have KITT, its really cool for playing with, especially in small areas, but it does have funny proportions.

Check out this link guys. Its a finished auction from ebay regarding a Kenner radio controlled KITT. The wheels aren't true to a real Trans Am, but what the heck, it still looks great and must be quite fun to play with (the red front scanner even lights up!). If only I had the $53.00 or so in order to win it from the seller when it was still up for grabs.
