I was watching this episode for the millionith time last night, and I finally decided to post some things that make me think for about half a second.
When Michael is talking to Bonnie about Stevie for the first time, KITT has the T-Tops removed. Yet, when KITT pulls out of the mobile unit, the T-Tops were magicly restored. What's up with that?
Also, if you look real carefully when they turbo boost over the fence to get close to the runway, you can barely see one of the boards that they used to help with the turbo boost.
Figured I'd post these findings to tickle your funny bone.

yeah i noticed that too when i watched that episode last night while going through my episode tapes. I actually think that was something common that happened where his t-tops would be gone and when he got off the truck they would be back on. I know ive seen that in more than one episode.

Thanks for the help! I often wondered what T-top meant since they began using that term on "Knight Rider" to describe KITT because I sure didn't know what that word meant, so that's helpful to me.

yeah they had to start calling it a T-Top because people started going to the Pontiac Dealership and asking for KITT lol.

I'm going to have to keep an eye out for that more often...just to add another piece of obscure knight rider information into my already KR crammed brain
