What, no April Fools?

Post by Michael Pajaro » Sun Apr 03, 2005 4:02 am

Friday morning I came to the board and braced myself for some sort of April Fools announcement thread about "Knight Rider movie cancelled!" or "Gilbert Godfried to play Michael Knight!" but there was nothing. At first, I was sort of proud of everyone for not posting some obvious jokes. But then as the day went on, and there was still nothing, I think I actually sort of missed it. I guess I'm just never happy. :)

So, hooray to everyone! And shame on everyone! :)

Ah, I'm glad. You should have seen a Transformers website I use. They turned it all pink and had Care bears destroying Optimus Prime :? yes mind boggles! .....and I needed to turn down the colour on my screen

I too was sad there was no April Fools, but considering the maturity level of the members on ths board in the past (past few April Fools people got upset), that's probably why there was no April Fools.

Ever consider that maybe that WAS the April Fool's joke? Everyone expecting one and there wasn't one!  ;)

LOL! Yeah, and folks, when he means WHOLE page, he means ENTIRE page, right up to the very last bit of text. Everything. ;)

I almost missed it myself.

Oh I believe it... I saw Elvis last night. ;)

That was a very convincing site. Most people would have overlooked the very bottom of the page. I'm sure most of the Tupac fanatics would have been going nuts if they read that.

You saw Elvis? Ha! I can beat that. I ran into Jimmy Hoffa at the Rec Center this morning.
Flyer Guy: "You really a talking car?"
KITT: "No. I'm a tight end for the Chicago Bears!"

When my friend gave me the link i was shocked for a minute. Then I looked at the URL and then inspected the page piece by piece. My friend actually thought it was real news.

LadyV2000 - I would have ran. :)

TurbomanKnight - yeah that was quite convincing. If someone didn't read it all through they would have thought it was real. I don't follow rap too much so I guess if I didn't already suspect something, I would have probably wondered if it was real too. Nobody ever reads the entire pages of news sites. ;)

Hey Mike, you have only yourself to blame on that one. Be a do'er. :D
