Man, this car looks gorgeous. I agree I wished they would just ship it on out. I think I will buy two one for display in the original box unopened and one displayed on a platform that I can build. :D :D :D

Tell me about it! Can't wait - have a sneaking suspicion that it will be in stock by the end of this coming week.... fingers crossed!

Has anybody been out to their particular stores today to see if they have KITT yet?

I thought I read somewhere on this thread that it would be out today. I could be wrong. It's happened before. ;)

well, i just checked numerous sites, they all, apart from one, say they are pre-ordered or out of stock due to pre-orders.

one site said it's due this month, the rest confirmed December.

so unless someone proves me wrong, i think this is wishful thinking on you guys. ;) :P

Yeh.. HLJ changed it in the last 24 hours from "Future Release" to "November Release".. Sadly KARR is still a future release.

I was told by the shop I have an order with that it's due on the 17th, or 24th of November.

I've also e-mailed a couple of other UK retailers, and they are all expecting delivery before the end of November.

The product manager at Ertl wrote this to me:

"The KITT car should be available in stores in December. You can check TRU, Walmart and Kmart stores. "

Hope this helps..

He's said it's due before the end of the month, as have several other UK retailers. ERTL told me the UK release was late Feb/early March 05, so I'd take what they say with a pinch of salt.

New York is a pretty big place, and I am sure that the model will make it to your area. I'm not too sure about Toys R Us though, do they carry the 1/18 ERTL line of toys? If so, then they will probably get to market it. If not, your best bet would be to find the nearest Wal-Mart in your area.

Looks like GPL might have it in stock! They've got two new photos of it on their website, and the description has been changed - it no longer has a relase date!

I've uploaded their pics below, incase anyone has the same problem as was experienced with the last new photo. It would appear that the white lettering has gone from the tyres, but the orange fog lights are still present on the car! I can't wait - hopefully mine will be in by the end of the week!
