I think Bonnie went over the top with her design of SID. It's supposed to be a stealth device, so while it flies around, it continuously emits some kind of electronic voice. So, if the bad guys don't SEE SID, they'll certainly hear it.

This device floats around everywhere. How does this work? Do the wings propel it around? I mean, if Bonnie can get SID to float, couldn't she install the same kind of device into KITT? KITT could just fly where he needs to go instead of SPM.

I liked the idea of concealing it into a soccer ball. NOBODY would notice a floating soccer ball with wings and antennas while emitting an electronic voice. :wink:

Then, near the end, the bad guy takes one shot at SID, and it literally explodes. Doesn't just break apart and fall, it explodes.

Seriously, what is Bonnie smoking? :o

Bonnie can get dangerous with too much time on her hands. ;)

And btw, KITT hates flying. I don't think he would be cooperative if Bonnie tried to make him float.

I'm not big on SID myself, interesting idea, silly execution. And the way the K.I.D. (kid in distress) cries at SIDs loss, come on! It's not like he interacted with him, or showed him how to ride a bike, it was a video camera with wings!

no kitt flying thanks, although the flying Delorean, rocked.

I always loved when they show the views from SID or KITT in general, and its always at an angle that is different from KITT, or in the case of SID, SID is in the same shot.

SID was an excellent idea in concept, as Neil said, but unfortunately, they brought it about in a rather hokey manner. Maybe something like a continously flying solar powered craft which followed FLAG wherever it went would work. It could act like a mobile satellite or something, taking pictures wherever images are needed.

Its a little box that turns into a ball that floats and is used for remote surveillance. Plays a big part in the episode Hills of Fire.

I just couldnt stop laughing at SID, it was sooo bad, plain and simple.

they could of put more thought into this device other than stupid magic flying box that can be put inside a football.

Another thing I thought was funny was how when Bonnie first brought out SID, and it floated around "talking," everyone just stared at it--almost disbelievingly. The look on Michael's face was hilarious. Even Bonnie looked doubtful.

To me, SID, if he was presented better, could have been a nice edition to KR. But it went the same route as April's Third Stage Aquatic Synthesizer (which I also liked) one episode and out.

Does anybody know how many of April's and Bonnie's creations lasted only 1 episode and what they were?

Almost all of April's creations lasted only one episode, except for Silent Mode and Pyroclastic Lamination. I am not too sure how many of Bonnie's did, but here is a listing of the functions: http://knightridercollective.com/functions.htm you can browse and deduce. :)
