Bonnie: is it a coincidence, or was it Glen's humour?

Bonnie Barstow - the lovely mechanic.
Bonnie looked after KITT.

Yes, I know, we all know this really very well already.

BUT - KITT was played by the fabulous William Daniels; he was married to Bonnie Bartlett.

She was his wife in St Elsewhere (only just found out about this), and she was also the old lady/mother in the Arnie film, 'Twins'.

Did Glen choose to name Bonnie after William's wife on purpose? It's a very unusual name, at least it is here in the UK, so does anyone know this?

It's been good to see William in St Elsewhere, as you are hearing his 1982/3 voice as it was in KR way back when. Rather than his voice today or as Mr Feeny which although near the same, a little deeper and matured.

Could be... that's an interesting thought. Although I wouldn't say Bonnie is very unusual. I've known 3 Bonnies myself (unfortunately not the "real" Bonnie!).
