I found that my base Firebird, which will someday be KITT, has the wiring and connectors for the hatch release.... since I'm going to need this once I black out the tails.
I already have a hatch release switch and it's currently plugged in. I've read that there needs to be a relay inserted somewhere in order to make the switch work... and this is where I'm at a dead end.
Reaching out to KRO in the event that someone has already done this project.
Please help my KITT so he won't need a key to pop his hatch. That's just not right.
Brian

Glad you got the assistance you required.I once posted on this forum about not being able to get a clear shot of kitts privacy protector from under the glass hatch trunk.I needed to know if it was tan or was it black. No one ever replied.I was working on making a gta4 kitt.

I hear ya. I tore up my entire stock dash looking for that relay harness. Then found it on their forum about an alarm question how how to hook it up to the hatch. So they helped me extremely indirectly!! Now, I figure that my dash is in shambles, I'll maybe think about wiring some other stuff (scanner kill switch, fog lights) before I put it all back together.

That looks great.Wish we could put the scanners in the proper placement but I too know that grills restrict that sometimes.I got a few pics if u look through my older posts of what I wanted to do to my 2011 Honda Accord somewhere on this forum.

This pic is from an original kitt that Marks Custom Kitt's got and restored.

That's how they had the "auto trunk release".Someone would pull the riup cord to pop open trunk.
