I was cool with your response and going to keep my word about staying out of this thread but screw it. I have to call you out.
i didnt make any of those covers, never said i did.
Did I mis-read something on the first page of this topic?
Here is one i made in about 2 minutes using existing images, its incomplete & can use more stuff but ill leave that up to you guys. I just did it real quick to show its not that difficult & unavailible.
Really? That seems like you are claiming that you made that particular cover.
If i wanted to MsKen & spent a hour or so of such gut wrenching HARD WORK i could easily copy your cover, pic for pic letter for letter because i know exactly where you got them from & how you did it!
Congratulations! You are among the hundreds of thousands of people who own photoshop and know how to use it. But whats with the gut wrenching HARD work comment? A few posts ago this was ridiculously easy so I actually challenge you to something. Lets have a friendly competition and settle this like men. I will make a WHOLE NEW DVD cover just for this community freely to download, and you make one too and we will post it in a poll and see which one the community likes better. And to make it more of a challenge lets have a 5 hour time limit from the time with both agree. Or better yet we can discuss the rules privately via PM. Neither one of us can use our original covers or hack up someone else's cover. (because no I didn't use a spiderman dvd for the creation or template of my cover) Do you accept?

Good idea Ken. I'm curious to see what you two come up with should he accept your challenge.

Just to make sure I`m not offending anyone on this board, the "b*****d i was reffering to was the ebay user asian-imports-888 selling the new pilot on dvd..

I wonder how long it will take before this thread gets locked up, too. Geez, a fan makes artwork and posts it and it leads to a 42-car pileup. And for the record, as I've recently discovered, I was one of the actual buyers of the "limited eBay" run and have the Knight Rider 2000 and Bloopers DVDs. Guess that means I'm a criminal as well. I'm an artist as well, but with the good old fashioned pencil and paper. I barely have a clue how to use Photoshop, so I'm always impressed with the results a lot of members here are able to produce. Can't we all just enjoy the contributions to the community for what they're worth?

Here in the UK they have released pilot episodes of new shows on DVD for 2.99. There are such pilots as terminator: sarah connor chronicles and bionic woman.
I don' know why they have started this trend being that the season set will eventually be released but since KR is now going to series, there may be a chance that there will be an official dvd release of the new pilot too.

I think since Universal released
Battlestar Galactica : Razor as a "television event" on a stand alone DVD, they will likely do the same thing for
Knight Rider 2008 under the same banner of a "television event" and not a "feature length" movie.
I'd also expect them to include deleted scenes or alternate takes as some sort of bonus because they're pretty much known for that. Perhaps that's where the missing 11 minutes REALLY went.

Typical marketing strategy. They know fans like us will buy the stand-alone DVD, plus the entire season set even though it already will probably contain the movie as well.

Okay, you bought a bootleg copy... So??? Was there any other reason you decided to bump a nearly four month old (from the last post) topic other than advertise that?
The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great!

Hey, wow, VERY nice design there. I applaud your compositional skills. (Note that i didn't check the full-res image - too lazy to go register for another forum, but what I see here, I like.)
Edit: Never mind; it seems as though you don't have to register to see the full image. I like what you've done here - if you don't mind constructive criticism, the only design element I'd change is in the Episode guide. Reducing the padding on the left side of that box would balance the margins a little better.....and in fact, if you did do that, I would suggest moving only the episode titles to the edge of the padding to create a slight hanging indent for the summaries. (I understand that vertical space is limited due to the bounding box of the design.) But that's all - great job!

Yeah I was thinking about that...but like you said, space...I was planning on make the changes and also create a Blu-ray version as well. I think I am also going to add the 2 hour pilot as well.
Thanks again for you comments!

Wow very nice! That was a good idea to used the knightindustriesreseach site, looks like you grabbed the image just in time because I just went to check it out and I see they have Torres, Carrie and Graiman greyed out. The interior you used probably is not the best choice since its not really accurate, but I do like how it looks there.
Since this thread is now bumped up and it’s the first time I’m seeing it. I would just like to comment in general on the subject of bootlegging. The one thing that we can do if we love a show, and love TV in general is to buy legal DVDs or online downloads. If the money doesn’t make it back to all the hard working people who make the shows, then there is gonna be less and less money to make great shows with.
So yes sign the petition and yes send in letters but above all spend a few bucks and get the show from itunes or wait for the DVD release.
But at the same time I think its totally cool for fans to be able to make mock ups of covers and other creative things, because it’s a really great way to learn and to get feed back on your art.
So nice job to everyone and lets see some more.

I totally agree with Sue on this one.

If you can access KR officially (Amazon, iTunes, Xbox Live), please do so instead of getting bootleg DVDs and file sharing downloads. Supporting these official downloads actually matters.

I saw a version of a "possible Knight Rider" DVD cover, that looked rather similar to the first season release of TOS. Don't ask me where i saw it, but I'm kind of hoping they keep up with the motif, and link it to the overall DVD sets that way...
KITT: I walked right into that one, didn't I?
Michael: More like Turbo Boosted.

Hmmm...I understand what you are saying about bootlegging and respect that. But creating custom DVD/Blu-ray Covers and Labels is not illegal in anyway. It is a free custom design that if someone wants to have a different Cover or Label on the movie of they chose...they can. Now as for the sharing of downloads...Please note that any and everyone Broadcast show aired on cable, satellite, and internet is free public domain to do what you want to do with. As long as you do not sell for money! As long as anyone and everyone can record the show themselves it is legal to share it. You can watch all Knight Rider and other TV shows right from their website and even record them yourself on a DVR, which can be shared with the public. The only time it is illegal is when a Blu-ray or DVD is made commercially by the studio...the copy rights are in affect and selling or sharing downloads are illegal. One last thing about copying DVD/Blu-ray movie/TV shows...If you buy a legal copy you can make a back-up copy for yourself due to wear and tear.
Now I hope this helps to understand your rights to enjoy your shows legally?!?
Thanks,
