What was your favorite pop song from the show?
Yep, this one was bound to come up, with Knight Radio hummin along.
So, what pop song played in Knight Rider was your favorite, and from what episode? What song captured the emotion of the situation, or at the very least, your musical tastes of the time?
Mine was "Self Control" by Laura Branigan, from the episode "Halloween Knight" somehow, it just worked very well in setting the theme of the entire episode.
Share! And I might kick them up into a more permanent rotation on Knight Radio!
Oh, and if you need a little help, you can find almost complete listings of the songs at http://www.knightridercollective.com/krmusic.htm

Well I can't pick just one, but here are my favorites:
"Torture" by the Jacksons (probably seeing Cindy dance to it has a lot of influence there, still a great song though).
"Cruel Summer" by Bananarama
"Every Breath You Take" by The Police
I'd have to say two songs which I love but were poorly covered in the episodes were "Shout at the Devil" by Motley Crue and "Rebel Yell" by Billy Idol.

Love the guitar notes in that tune. Oh, didn't that song also appear in KITT vs KARR? Stings "every breath you take" is also a favorite of mine along with "don't stop" by Fleetwood mac which was on in the pilot.d_osborn wrote:laura branigan's self control.

As someone chose before, I'd go with the 'Police - every breath you take' song...apart from that, nothing...unless it's the Eagles songs from the pilot.

Just been watching Kitt vs. Karr... when John first drive Karr from the beach he plays "Jump (in and feel my touch)" by pointer sisters.
seemed like the perfect peice of music for that sistuation, where Johns overwhelmed by the magic of Karr.

Well I might as well put my 2 cents in
1) Self Control - Laura Branigan (KITT vs KARR & Halloween Knight)
2) Torture - The Jacksons ( Knight Of the Drones, where KITT drives on the Sanfransico bridge)
3) My Obsession - Animotion (Many Happy Returns)
4) Gypsy - Stevie Nicks (Silent Knight)
5) Still The Same - Bob Seger (Knight By A Nose)
6) Talking In Your Sleep - The Romantics (Knights In The Fast Lane)
7) We Don't Need Another Hero - Tina Turner (Knight Of The Juggernaught)
Land Down Under - Men At Work (Topaz Connection)
Oh my, I could be here forever
I like em all

There´s many good pop or rock or country songs featured in Knight Rider episodes. I like most following songs:
Torture by Jackson 5 from Knight of the Drones
Crumblin´Down by John Mellencamp from White-Line Warriors
Country Road by James Taylor from Burial Ground
I don´t recall the name of the song which was in Hearts of Stone and I think it was performed by John Hiatt and Ry Cooder
Rebel Yell by Billy Idol from Death of the Knight
Peaceful Easy Feelin´ by The Eagles from Knight of the Phoenix
If I would have to choose only one I would choose the Torture by Jackson 5 because I like the guitar sound in it. I like very much just that kind of distorted sound. I think "Torture" also fits in very well in the beginning scene of Knight of the Drones which I can´t really describe but that´s how I feel.
