Knight Rider - Edward Mulhare

The actor Edward Mulhare was born on April 8, 1923 in Carrigaline, Cork, Ireland and has two brothers John and Thomas Mulhare and was educated by Irish Christian Brothers, through an expected medical career in favor of acting. He made his stage debut in Cork in 1942 in The First Mrs.Fraser before going to London, where he appeared as Orson Welles co-star in production of Othelo in 1951.

The Edward Mulhare made his film in 1955 with "Giv´a 24 Eina Ona" and also premiered on British television in 1956 in the series "The Adventures of Robin Hood." In 1957, he moved to New York to Rex Harrison as Henry Higgins succeeded in the production of Broadway of "My Fair Lady".

He first appeared on television in the U.S "Toast of the Town" that same year. He remained on Broadway until 1960 and then joined an international tour of the show. He won a role in the movie "Von Ryan's Express" in 1965, and "You Only Live Twice" and "Caprice" in 1967.

In 1968, the Edward Mulhare inherited a new role from Rex Harrison when he was hired by NBC to star as Captain Daniel Gregg in the TV series "The Ghost and Mrs.Muir” which was based on the 1947 film of the same name.

After the show two years in race, he appeared in television the film "Gidget Grows Up" in 1969. During the whole decade of 1970 he made countless guest appearances in popular series including "The Street of San Franscico", "Galactic Battlestar" and "Hart to Hart".

In 1982 the actor Edward Mulhare accepted a role in the new series "Knight Rider", which would run until 1986, and "Knight Rider 2000" in 1991. His last role was in the film "Out to Sea" in 1997, which was released posthumously. The actor Edward Mulhare, died in Los Angeles of lung cancer on May 24, 1997. He never married.

Very nicely done! I wish he could see what has gone on with Knight Rider and would have been nice to have his comments and maybe a guest star appearance from him. I just hope GST does a nice traditional thing for his character in this new series.
