The Hoff talks about IF he's returning to Knight Rider

I've been reading this board for a while (and I review Knight Rider on TVJab.com) but after reading this today, and not seeing it anywhere - I thought I should join the board and post it. Maybe I missed it being discussed earlier in the week, but anyway - here it is.

Hasselhoff told Buddy TV that he isn't coming back for the show last Wed.

"I went in and pitched Knight Rider to the network with all the intentions of coming back as, like, the dad or something. But they decided to go a different route. So I just said ‘See ya later and good luck.’"

Man that's good to hear. I was really getting into the idea of Hoff and K.I.T.T. returning to the show. I didn't expect to like the new series as much as I have - and it's really reminded me how much I loved the original show.

I do hope he returns as a guest star every now and then specially since he is Mike Traceur's old man after all as it was seen in the pilot 2 hour movie...

Any updates on the Hoff appearing? Didn't this site have a scoop a while back, it was for a few episodes? Could the person in-the-know tell us if these episodes were part of the first 13 or not? Surely it will be good to know, whether his appearance hinges on Knight Riders ability to get a full season pick-up
