Or can everyone?
Need some help animating the KI2T scanner for the homepage. I've done the KI3T but I'm getting tired and I know there are probably more talented people online here that can do this.
So any takers?
Here is the KI3T animation - note it's 70 frames at 30 frames a second.

Please use the attached image to animate, thanks!

Good animated scanner for KI3T but it goes a bit fast for me. (Using firefox 3) The whole scanner animation only takes 2 seconds. Is it meant to be like this?

Neps, I'll give it a shot.
Just finished a test version of the animation, and it still needs a lot of work.

Hi Tony,
I love how the scanner disappears behind the bodywork on the left side of the image. That adds greatly to the authenticity of it.
Considering that this is only version 1.0, I can't wait to see what you come up with once you've gone over the image with a fine toothed comb.
Matt
Welcome aboard the Knight 2000.
Thank you. What's all this, it looks like Darth Vader's bathroom?

very good work, Toni. though i wouldn't expect less from you, since you're really a great artist!
one note on the K.I.3.T. scanner: i detected an error... it's small but detectable nontheless.
if you look at the left part of the scanner when it goes from the outside to the inside you can see the upper edge jump by one pixel somewhere inbetween when the scanner is all alight.

Well couple of enhancements can be made that I've planned:
1. Make it glow a bit
2. Make the fading lights more red
This week is some schedule mess for me though so I'll have to find the right time to do it.

The KI2T scanner looks awesome. I know it was difficult because of the prespective, but this is great. Nice job.
But if I may make a suggestion. In my opinion the scanner stops at both sides, until the glow of all lights except the one at the side is gone. KITT's scanner does not stop there.
If you remove those frames where the most left/right stops the scanner would be more smooth.

I corrected that and I made it more smoother, Neil is away and I gave him one for now until the updated one was complete. So I sent it to him and have to wait for him to put it on.
Thanks
Joe

Awesome scanner effects on both cars!! I'll be proud to show friends the new home page for more on the series when it debuts later this month.
Just a minor critique, but the rear tire on the old K.I.T.T. seems to be slanting inwards slightly.
It would take a master artist to correct this, if needed!! I'm sure we have some on this board.

Please stop asking. If someone can do it, they will give it a shot. It's not as simple as you might think...

I know exactly what you mean Neil, Its not easy at all, Ive been playing with the new K3000 scanner and thats problematic enough in itself, plus Ive been trying to sync up the scan Sfx with it, I think Ive just pulled the last hair out of my head!
Can you change my username to Bald Eagle?

If you want to change the colors of the scanner just to see what they look like for whatever weird reason it may be i have a easy solution for you, leave your browser on the homepage & mess with the color settings on your monitor until the right color is shown.
