confession time...

Post by pheonix_knight » Wed Aug 20, 2008 11:43 am

Ok folks

The time has come for me to make a small admission...

I am one of the people who, prior to seeing the feb show, was not overjoyed at KITT being a mustang

The more I see the new attack mustang, the more it makes sense and it looks good too...

And I love the transformation much more than the nano "shapeshifting" (no offence to the contributor of that name...)

I am looking forward to this...

I hear you,

The first time i saw KITT 3k i was like "No WAY what have they done"
the more i see the mustang the more i like it, I dont think any other car came close.
it really did grow on me

was the same when i saw the new attack Kitt, but after seeing it properly after comic con, im like thats actually very nice, (ok the wheels, grill and air vents should be black) other than that it looks the business

I was quite dissapointed with the pilot, the nano morph looked pretty crappy,
they seem to have addressed alot that was wrong with the pilot, TURBO BOOST!!!

im excited, this is Knight Rider;s last chance i really hope they pull it off :karr:

That's the way I felt about KI2K when I saw the first Knight Rider pilot. I remember saying "That's no Trans Am! I don't know what that is, but that's NOT a Trans Am! That's a pile of cr--!"

And then by the end of the show I already loved KITT. ;)

This time around it was different. I loved that Mustang from the get-go. And it just keeps getting better!

I just wandered over here to see if this was a really juicy confession...

But yeah, same here. I can't say I really hated the Mustang to start with... I was just like "huh"? But I like it now.

Oww this makes me very happy that the fans are opening up to the Stang :) I feel the same way... only I always LOVED it... but then again look at my sig... I am a Ford man, and that sig was there since I joined these forums some years ago.

I always loved the '77 Trans Am like the first Smokey and the Bandit one. I always wanted one. So when they tried to pass KI2K off as a Trans Am you can see why I reacted like I did. LOL!

As for the Mustang, Ford always done well by it and I always loved the styles they came up with, so it was easy for me to like the Mustang.

I'm less than enthused about the styling of today's GM cars. But now I too have a Ford ('99 Taurus SE) and am quite happy. I always liked Ford/Mercury too, especially since I think the best car my dad ever owned was the '79 Mercury Zephyr. I even drove that car at times. I loved it. :) Ironically the closest I got to a car that was similar in the way it acted was my old '87 Pontiac 6000 I just let go of 3 months ago. And that was one great styling of a car.

I guess it's all in what you think of the car styles. Some may not like Fords for whatever reason and that might influence things a bit. Others (like me) like Ford and the new Mustang, so the show is bound to be a hit for those fans.

And if NBC teams up with NASCAR that would be super cool!

I think most of our initial reactions were for the Mustang being the new car were along the lines of "WTF?! This thing is a brick on wheels!" What first softened my stance on it was just that it was going to be a new AI and not the original KITT.
The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great! :skar:

For me it was love at first sight back in 1982 when I saw the K2000 for the first time and I have to say the "normal" mode K3000 looks pretty sweet. However the "attack" mode is too ugly for words and makes me gag when I see it.
