Since there is few information about the new modified attack mode, I thought we could collect everything we read ar see about the new car. This can be rumors, pictures or facts, just please don't speculate.
!!! In case you don't want to get spoiled I highly suggest you stop reading now!!!
The new Attack Mode will feature
lambo wing doors.
I don't know if this is really necessary, I doubt this feature is of any use storywise, but generally I like wing doors.
So it could be cool.

While I'm not opposed to those doors - seems unnecessary of a change, what performance value does that add?
Also, I'd question their source of their information - cause they aren't shooting in Canada! and that makes me question their whole report.

I'm not sure what lambo wing doors even are but the first thing that comes to mind when i hear wing doors is Back To The Future's Delorean doors. Is that what they're talking about?

the lambo wings go out a little bit more. the delorean kind of swing up, rather than out. lambo doors are more like wings. kind of hard to explain. i would just do a google search.

This pretty much negates the use of Garthe Knight's spoiler tag. But it's not that big of a deal, nor is it even confirmed this is true.
The DeLorean's doors are called "gullwing" doors, which lift outward and go up vertically giving the appearance of wings. They also actually have more clearance room than standard doors. The "Lamborghini" doors slide straight upward parallel to the car as opposed to straight outward like the gullwing doors.

I wouldn't go as far as to call the DeLorean my second favorite car, but I am a fan of it as well. I was suprised to see just how many
Knight Rider fans are also DeLorean fans around here.

Okay so I peeked at this one, but thank you, I do appreciate all the warnings. I tend to agree that that source is not reliable. Shapeshifter confirmed that they weren’t shooting in Canada. I would have to say KRO has the best sources in town.
But who knows… they could have made a lucky guess.

I highly doubt the accuracy of this but if it IS true...HELLO!!! How is KI3T going to get into the action? I guess that's just one more little nuance they can throw under the bus in the quest to be forever "fast and furious". Don't do it, for the love of god!! lol

This is how KITT will turbo boost. He's going to flap his doors up and down to create lift for a more "realistic" jump that uses mechanical and aeronautical physics to get it done, instead of a magical turbo boost device or helium in the tires. We all know how rediculous THAT was!

Watching KITT turbo boost since 1982.

Those hinges belong on exotic cars or modified "rice rockets." I don't like it on American Muscle/Ponycars.

yeah, i don't see the sense in that.
charles graiman might be a scientist, an inventor and maybe a technic nerd, but he definately is no car tuner... so why would he build lambo-doors into KITT?
don't get me wrong... that's a nice feature for tuned cars in generell, i just don't see it fit for KITT

Okay... I remember the original KITT having the ability to whack a bad guy that running past by opening his door.
This would have the effect of the bad guy rolling over the door and landing on his head or back.
These doors may smack the bad guy across the head.
Neat - but weird.

msKEN,
That's a picture of a random Mustang that happened to have the Lamborghini hinges installed, not the actual car being used for K.I.T.T. for the series, correct?

Looking at that picture my thought is that these doors would block the actor’s faces from the camera. It looks kinda cool to me… but it is not KITT nor should it be.

LOL
I hope Kitt doesnt end up looking anything like that pic. Lambo doors eh?, whats next an Ironing board sized spoiler?, Pearl paint job, hydraulics, neons, big ass stereo system? this is NOT the Fast & Furious.

I wonder if they're going to add that fartcan sound to the exhaust too, you know the ones typically on 4 cylinder imports? I mean why not right, means it's fast and cool and a little furious, NBC should make the tailpipe look like a snake too!! Wow, now how cool would that be! As sarcastic as it is I wouldn't put it past NBC. lol

to me, the biggest problem since this new show (Pilot movie) has begun, is that, originally, KITT (2000) simply looked like a regular car from the outside, except the nose/scanner. Now, this car, they're getting carried away with half assed computer graphics. Like someone wrote here earlier, the doors swing up, but there isn't turbo boost, ski mode, or any of the original stuff from the first show. If they can make the doors flip up with a computer , why can't they jump the car, or make it drive on 2 wheels ? Gotta give it a chance, though, but
sometimes it seems as though they're trying to make it work with cheap special effects........

Well Gary Scott Thompson did write Fast and the Furious..... If this is true I can't say I'd be surprised.
