What would YOU like to see from the KR pilot?
I would like to see the Hoff have a somewhat major role in the movie. I would like to see Michael Knight in one last fight scene whipping that old roundhouse kick from outta no where... lol Maybe at the end of the movie Michael Knight driving off in the original Kitt into the sunset that would be really cool. I would really love to see a turbo boost but I don't think that's gonna happen.

Unfortunately I don't think any of that will be happening. It's been confirmed that there will be no Turbo Boost in the Pilot, and the Hoff's appearance is just a cameo during that scene at the funeral, as far as I know. I'm faithful he will have a larger role later on if the telepic gets picked up as a series.

I don't think Hasselhoff is in as a "Cameo" as some people say, if you look at other writings and articles as well as from Shapeshifter and others, he is going to have a "Special Guest Appearance", so towards the end HE WILL find out his father is Michael Knight. However, the writers/producers stated in interviews they will explore more in depth in the series if it comes out, the whole story of what happens with the foundation, the original KITT, and more of MK, as well as William Daniels to return.

I heard that Hasselhoff will be credited that way to be more reminiscent of '80s-style crediting.JJSoCrazy wrote:I don't think Hasselhoff is in as a "Cameo" as some people say, if you look at other writings and articles as well as from Shapeshifter and others, he is going to have a "Special Guest Appearance"

I would like to see a TV series come from this KR movie. That would be icing on the cake for me.

Things I'd like to see:
*Humorous interaction between Mike and KITT.
*Explanation (even if vague) as to what happened to FLAG.
*A clue what happened to KITT(2000).
*A kick butt chase sequence.
*A spray of bullets hitting KITT with no effect.
*The sequence mentioned in the AICN review where KITT guides Mike through a building where the bad guys are, tapping into the building's systems to help him avoid trouble.
*The theme music heard in the latest commercial.
*A "KITT driving through the desert" scene.
The more I see, the happier I am so I'm hoping the final product justifies my optimism!

I would exactly copy your list and only add this point:goldbug wrote:Things I'd like to see:

* Hasselhoff's scene makes it very clear that he will most certainly return in a possible series.

since Turbo is out, how about a ski mode sequence?

Making wish lists might not be such a good idea. If you do, no matter how good the movie is, it could even be better than the original, and yet you may end up complaining because you were constantly looking out for minute little details that are simply not going to be in it, just like they may have only appeared a few times in all 90-odd episodes of the first series, instead of just simply enjoying it.

The key is to not let what you'd like to see interfere with your ability to enjoy what IS there when the movie airs. Just because I listed a bunch of things above for instance, it doesn't mean I'll hate the movie if those things are absent. Why? Because I'm sure the movie will show me lots of things that I don't expect. I don't just want a retread of the original series, I do want to see something different than what I've seen before that pays proper respect to what came before.knightendo_phil wrote:Making wish lists might not be such a good idea.

I would like to see Mike chasing a bad guy, both on foot, KITT comes blasting around a corner, passes Mike, swings the door open for Mike to jump in and continue the chase. The bad guy then quickly gets into a awating Car/van/hovercraft for the chase to continue.

Re: What would YOU like to see from the KR pilot?
i would love to see an opening sequence that is a homage to the original series' desert scene, with purple filter and the shadowy-flight-speech and all. now that would be awesome!

Re: What would YOU like to see from the KR pilot?
Besides kepping the spirit of the original Knight Rider and having great a story I would really like to see them have a dedication at the beginning or end of the 2 hr movie in memory of the late great Edward Mulhare. Even if it is just words on the screen.
Re: What would YOU like to see from the KR pilot?
Yeah Edward Mulhare. I like that too. That would be nice. Even if they had a painting of him in the background of the FLAG HQ somehwere as well........
