Isn't it amazing!
Do you ever think about the fact that a show like this has got such a big amount of fans and how much people love this show. I meen the amount of replica's I have seen for this show is amazing it really shows just how loved a show from the 80's still is now.
KITT's dash is still quite futuristic looking now that people can add the new stuff to KITT like CD and DVD playback and LCD's. LED's are still a futuristic looking thing even now they are used for speed signs and traffic lights and when you see them you know how much more cool that looks than the old light bulb.

I liked the show for the car itself. I gave the automakers ideals on many things towards future cars. I believe GPS and voice waring modes were apart of what was inspired form KITT.

Does anyone know what movie in what year the James Bond Car had the licence plate flip or did Knight Rider use their idea?
I bet you most of the Knight Rider fans on this board know every feature of KITT. I suppose some things on the dash like "compresser temp F" are a bit hard to remember but you get most of it.

Aston Martin DB5 in the 1964 movie Goldfinger. Apparently it sold earlier this year for nearly $2.5 million to a European collector.James_kr wrote:Does anyone know what movie in what year the James Bond Car had the licence plate flip or did Knight Rider use their idea?
I would say it definitely inspired the KR writers to use the idea.
