neat little trick with the game demo and the kazaa version

Post by pdennis93 » Sun Jan 26, 2003 7:21 pm

if you download the kazaa version and the demo, and replace the file

\knightrider\data\video\english\Intro.avi with the one from the demo, you will be able to see the knight rider theme in the kaza version game.

Ok, totally skewing off topic, but when you read through messages in large quantities, your name, pdennis93, really morphs into the wrong thing...

Sorry, I just had to bring that up. *shakes out head*

Who says that we have gotten our minds out of the gutter, and that it's a bad thing? ;)

Welcome to the board no matter what, pdennis. :)

Amazing how the 'd' just sort of vanishes upon the first glance, ins't it?

Isn't Kazaa one of those services like Nabster where all the files are located on the user's computers, and when you download a file, you're just transferring it from who-knows-whose machine that is on-line at that moment?

yeah it is,

since im from the US and we as of yet dont have access to the game, when iheard i could get it on kazaa i was excstatic, most of the videos are missing but the whole game and sounds are there

but replacing the demo intro into the regular non video game does work, and if anyone ever releases the videos for the real game they too will wokr (whoever made the hacked game put in blank files in place of the videos, but the filenames are correct, you just delete one and replace it with the real video and wala it works)

I tried this, but for some reason I get sound but no video. If I play the .avi in a player, it works..
