Has anyone found the KARR version yet in the shops?
There has been a few on ebay, listed from Malaysia, which I assume have just walked out of the factory and being sold that way.
I have found two KITT's but no KARR yet.

That's because it's not out yet. It's part of the second wave from the series that should be hitting retailers within the next few weeks or so.

Darn it's got the same mistakes that ERTL 1/18 KARR had, the silver paint doesn't go over the wheel wells but goes too high in the rear bumper :/

I'm still waiting for mine to arrive. Yes, for some strange reason, many companies that have done KARR tend to miss out the silver paint for the wheel wells. I'm not surprised hot wheels missed it out too. Its probably a tricky part to paint

woah
that's rather disappointing about the license plate
but
maybe some will have KARR on the license plate, it might be an error, just maybe
Maybe others can check theirs when they get them to see what the license plate says
But with the scanner being red we probably shouldn't hold our breath

Yeah... It seems I somehow have an early prototype version, if not that its a rare defect... Look at this one from Mattel which is an official photo. It has the KARR license plate, but not sure if it has the amber scanner though, but I'm sure it does... >>>>

I asked over on the hot wheels website and it seems the KARR is supposed to have the correct license plate and scanner
so you have a dud there unfortunately
what some would call a factory error

Didn't KARR have the red scanner in his first appearance? Heck he was even all black. Is there really no KR fans that work in Mattel's design dept

. I hope to all Krishna that they don't do this to the Elite KARR lol.
Hey Mattel!!! GREY+AMBER=KARR or BLACK+RED=KARR. NOT GREY+RED!!! Maybe we figured out why the scanner is so hard to see in the first place.
I would find the correct plate version and the pair would be worth more than the package

No amber scanner, it was really difficult to get a clear picture through the packaging but you should be able to make out the KARR on the plate.

Kind of offtopic, but this kinda goes with what I was saying about factory seconds
see this A-Team van from the Retro series, it hasn't been released yet into the shops, but for sale from Malaysia
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/4909-HOT-WHE ... 2a28abf438" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Notice the wheels on the van, they don't match, the rear wheel is correct, front isn't right
that's the danger in buying these from Malaysia when the models aren't out yet in the shops.
just my opinion.

Keep in mind that stuff like this goes up in value (in some cases) higher than the mass-produced, corrected version. Buyer Beware, all the same.

when you are buying these, you might just want to have a look at the rear to check the license plate,
see this KITT with KARR's license plate
(on a second thought, some people might actually like this, as the first time we saw KARR he was identical to KITT, in TRUST DOSEN'T RUST)

Hope they release a corrected version one day. Still, that is a nice piece to have.
Got others instead of KARR, however. Unlike the ebay link, my A-Team van has matching pairs of wheels.
