The thing on the back wondow is a set of louvers. They where available
seperartely from an after market company. Kinda ugly if you ask me.

And speaking of, it has aftermarket T-Tops..... they can keep that car! :?

Agreed, I think they ruin the flowing lines of the car's brilliant shape. Thank goodness they can be easily removed with any dramas.

How can you tell? Is there something that gives it away that it's not original?

Yes, you can tell by looking at the amount of metal between the
windshield and the front of the t-tops. Factory installed T-tops
will have about an inch of metal, the aftermarket versions (installed
out of the factory)(Usually Cars and Concepts t-tops) have just over
2 inches of metal between the winshield and t-tops. They are a crappy
design and leak like crazy. That and there is no way you would get an
overhead console in that car with out some serious modifications the
the part.

I know. I had an 82 (in the late 80's) with those aftermarket tops.
Not a car you would wanna leave out in the rain. Thats for sure.

Ahh ... I see what you mean. The width of the metal around the whole windsheild of a factory car is equal all the way around.
So wouldn't that mean that you would have to use aftermarket T-Tops as the factory ones will be bigger and won't fit? Yikes!
Geez, what a PIA that would be, very confusing to get the correct replacement ...
TurbomanKnight wrote:85 - 90 IROC-Z > 84 Trans Am.
OK, so does that mean that an '84 Trans Am is greater than an '84 Camaro?
And what if you compared that against an '85 - '90 Trans Am? :)
