I remember seeing it once but I don't remember where.
I googled to find it but I was not successful.
Does anybody remember the website it was on?
Thanks

That's a hot car, pdennis93.
Something bugs me about that customized ADAT 4th generation nose, though. I think the scanner should be a little higher, directly under the hood like the original K.I.T.T. It doesn't look quite right in the middle of the nose like that to me.

Thanks 4 the pics
I saw that ADAT nose and I immediately started to search for Firebirds in my area.
I fonund one with lots of extras (A/C,.....) but it costed a lot of money.
So there I was daydreaming again......
10x 4 the pics again.

Definitely, that nose is not right! The scanner must be directly under the hood line, and it probably should be a bit bigger than the original KITT's, since the whole 4th Gen car is a bit bigger or bulgier anyway...
The scanner size on this nose looks to be even smaller than the original KITT, that's no good... I can't believe their perception was that far off!

I wonder if there is a way to order that front end and the scanner with it? I would also get the dash and make a customized steering wheel.

yeah there is but your talking major $
the front nose kit w/ scanner and foglights is $3500 without paint
the dashboard is $6500 with all electronics..
$11000 is kind of steep imho

I want to wait till the 98-02 get cheap and I'd like to make a 4th gen conversion. Don eventually plans on making that nose (whicth looks awesome, BTW) for late model 4th gens.

I hope Don makes it more proportionately acceptable!
Check out this KITT that was recently owned by Cesar Gamino (crashed last year):

You can see how much better the scanner looks at the hood line even though it should be a bigger scanner to fill out the indentations in the nose. Someone needs to create a larger scanner for this car!
This is the banshee nose by Rob Louisell, only Cesar did a custom job with the scanner.
I think a stock T/A nose with a large scanner would look great too!

I see nothing wrong with the proprtions. Don's products really complement the applications in which they are designed which is one of the perks of Don's parts.

His nose looks great, other than the fact that the scanner belongs at the hood line to be authentic in my opinion, and I'm sure there are more that agree with this, but have yet to comment...

I am not usre if you have ever looked under the hood of a 4th Gen
or not but putting a csanner in the same location as a 3rd Gen isn't
that easy. This si why Don moved his forward as well as in my design.
There is a lot interfering with putting one in that spot without a ton of
modifications to the hood latch area.
Also, Don told me that the scanner in the newer car is the same one he
uses in the 3rd Generation kitts. It just looks smaller in the bigger nose.

Oh I see, well that would definitely explain the lower scanner, thanks for the info!

I understand the logistics behind moving the scanner down, but I still don't think it looks quite right. To me, it kind of looks like it's just floating in the middle of the nose. I think the 4th generation Trans Ams would be better off with an entirely different customized nose like they did in the series.
I'm sure when the '98-'02 custom noses are made that they will look much better. I think the problem lies in Pontiac's design, not Don's. The nose for the '93-'97 Firebirds is too smooth and plain for any type of scanner to look like it would naturally fit there. I think K.I.T.T.'s nose and scanner accomodated the Trans Am beautifully, especially in the 4th season where the sharper lines matched the car most accurately. The '98-'02 Firebirds obviously have more design on them.
The Knight 4000's nose suffered from this same problem, but they rounded out the nose so that the scanner would look more natural.

This is the nose we are currently working on. It may vary a bit from this
picture but the idea is similar. Our scanner is forward a bit, but only like 2
inches. Not quite as far as Don did his. This keeps it close to the hood but
gets us past the problem points of the real car!

It's hard to warm up to the later 4th gen nose, especially the ones with the extra vents, in many ways it is ugly, and with the 2 sets of headlights, it makes it look like a retarded KITT in my opinion. It's only advantage is a cutout for the scanner already there!

wow that KITT dash for season 4 you've made is great although I like KITT's one better because its spread out and you can see it better.

Wouldn't it be cool if any of these updated models was used in the upcoming knight rider movie??

This entire car looks AWESOME as a new KITT and SHOULD be used in the new film. Its a new car, its still black, it still has the essential parts to the dash and still looks updated. NICE!!!!!!!

I can't stop thinking about how awsome it is to drive one of these.
If this isn't used in the movie, something's wrong.
