Unflattering Knight Rider reference

From the Radio Times article about new characters in the new series of 'The League of Gentlemen'
<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">quote:</font><HR>
Neds
Slightly backward man, obsessed with Knight Rider and building his own crime solving kit cars
<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

The League of Gentlemen, for anyone who hasn't heard of it, is a very surreal, pitch black and often quite funny comedy show. We can assume any Knight Rider references will not be flattering.

It's a very weird show, that isn't very funny even though it's supposed to be. The characters are all complete weirdos!!!

Didn't pay much attention to the rest, but Papa Lazarous is a cult figure in my house

That's the league of EXTRAORDINARY Gentlemen- a comic done By Alna Moore. I highly recommend it.
Speaking of comic book references, over on the DC comics message boards, a discussion about "The Man from Atlantis" TV show, provoked a response from one of the posters about how it inspired other shows, including "Knight Rider." If anyone wants to check it out, it's in the "Aquaman" board.

I thought it was a comic book series being turned into a movie with Sean Connery as one of the characters. I could be wrong.

Quite probably lagging behind the times, but the Futurama episode on Channel 4 here in the UK last night had a Knight Rider reference in it about the wiper blades (that's windscreen wipers to us Brits!) were evil, but it wasn't touched on in the series. Which just made me think of this board, and also, "You what?!"

The episode of "The League of Gentlemen" with the unflattering references to Knight Rider
was aired a few nights ago on BBC TWO. I've captured videoclips of the 3 scenes that
feature this particular character "Neds" and the car into which he's installed a voice
modulator that looks nothing like KITT's familiar voice modulator. The car's not
a Trans Am, but a Fiat Panda (or possibly a Lada, I'm not too sure) with an
extra set of headlights attached to the bonnet.
