I agree K.I.T.T, I loved the runway lights on the accelerator pad as well. IMO, they looked really cool, i'd kill to have that in my car. ::reality sets in:: okay, not happening. Lol

My Kitt has the light up gas pedal, and although never in the show, my Karr will have one as well because I think it is a nice touch.

Post by Andy101 » Sun Mar 23, 2003 12:50 pm

It's not big deal really... You need the IC lm3914 with 10 leds and a pot to vary voltage atached to the gas pedal. Just e-mail me if you need help...

I just hated that sub-zero temp thing that KITT had to scare off the tiger. Should have had "climate control" labelled instead with a montior display showing the temperature drop. And I hated those lights - you can't see them if you're driving KITT.

I kind of like the season 3-4 shifter over the season 1-2 shifter. It seemed as if the P R N D indicator was lighted in seasons 3 and 4 opposed to the plain, blah non-lighted type of seasons 1 and 2.

Most useless KITT function :?: Turbo boost. SPM achieves the exact same purpose :D

huh? Turbo boost is the same as spm. Spm made KITT allot fast in speed, turbo boost made KITT jump ? KITTs tyres never left the ground in spm.

I think KITTFAN is referring to at least one occurance ("Slammin' Sammy's...") where Turbo Boost was used to provide KITT with a short burst of speed when a cop tried to pull Michael over to fill his ticket quota. Switching over to Pursuit mode and slamming on the gas would have had the same effect, but they chose to do it this way.

I am wondering if KITTFAN didn't get confused, that SPM was the more useless function, since Turbo Boost came first, and could do the same thing as SPM did.

However, that thinking is slightly flawed, from the standpoint that turbo boost was seemingly used for short spurts of speed which enabled jumping as well, while SPM was for sustained speeds.

Rocket Boosters could have done the function of TB had they used it more.
