Re: Movie News: Hasselhoff Misses Out on Knight Rider Role
IIRC when he signed on it was for a script that was almost completely different from the one used in the end product. But then he supposedly didn't want to jump off the project out of fear they'd kill Michael Knight off.
The new and again improved evil's advertisement is currently too long and too badass to display here. But let's just say that with now 50% more evil, this **** is great!

Re: Movie News: Hasselhoff Misses Out on Knight Rider Role
why would universal be involved in 2 projects retelling the same story from conflicting standpoints???
i was a fan of the series and love anything to do with it now but seriously from a financial point of view NBC will have more luck generating revenue through TV with Knight Rider than the big screen. When you go to the big screen (and these days the small too!) your novelty of a talking car is competing with singing dogs (MIB and the new VW Polo ad) entire intergalactic vistas (any of the star wars sequels in recent years, not to mention the upcoming startrek prequel).
cinema goers have to WANT to see something different, they arent going to accidentally wander in to the wrong auditorium... whereas your TV viewer with channel hopping tendencies might catch on to the show and kinda like it...
question: in all honesty, (i genuinely dont know) when was Glen Larson's last ORIGINAL broadcast and i dont mean remake or reimagining....??
all we need to see is the mustang turbo boost and the movie probably wont get off the ground...

I keep loving the idea of a Knight Rider movie by its original creator. But, honestly thinking, I fear that this project will never see the light. If the movie needs a web petition and some forum polls to be green lighted, in my opinion that is the sympton of bad news from the Weinstein Company.pheonix_knight wrote:all we need to see is the mustang turbo boost and the movie probably wont get off the ground...
