I think you people need to calm down. Anyone notice that people on these forums are starting to really get aggressive for some reason. Don't have to scream stuff out its just a debate.

Great fast change of mind btw.

Can't see any evidence of aggressiveness, myself. Just a nice debate from what I can see.

I think he may be refering to the "have you been doing drugs???" comment. apart from that yeah it was just a nice debate to me.

yeah and other stuff like "get your glasses checked" apart from that it was a good debate I didn't really think it was the engine I was a bit confused what it was I thought some of the shapes looked like engine parts but it is something reflecting off the hood. We will never know.

It's definitely a reflection. Possibly that scene was filmed during daylight and then treated in post production to look like night time, hence the extra bright looking reflection of what looks like palm trees.

I believe this technique was used a lot in 70s/80s tv shows because it's cheaper and easier to run a set during the daytime. Check out the first season episode Good Day at White Rock for more "day for night" hilarity.

In short, budget constraints and union enforced overtime rules may well be to blame for this slight blooper!

I wonder if Michael Long's black and gold TA (unlikely to be a Recaro that early in the 82 production run?) is the same unmodified car we see briefly when Michael gets pulled over for being "plum asleep at the wheel" later in the pilot?
