Battlestar

I was under the impression Battlestar Galactica's logo was another commercially available typeface adapted (by linking some characters together and adding the keylines) to make the logo. It's the same with most of the Universal productions of the era. Another famous adaptation is the logo for The Equalizer, which took ITC Eras typeface, elongated some letters , joined and italicized others to make the logo.

My point was that for a collector's release it should reflect the branding for the series as it was shown , just as for each Star Trek series, the correct typeface and colour scheme are used. For a new series of Knight Rider or the Movie it makes sense to update the brand, but it should be faithful to the original on this classic DVD release.

If the picture quality is as good as the recent UK PAL DVD releases, then it should be good quality picture. Season one's soundtrack could do with cleaning up though. The dialogue is generally muffled on many episodes . Apparently most of Universal's back catalogue (TV) was digitally transferred in the mid-1990's but I don't know whether they have cleaned anything up since then. Certainly the stereo soundtracks on the 1985/86 season are very uneven and again could do with some post-pro work before being released on DVD.
