no worries mate. Guess what? I've quickly done a SPM page. Go to my site and use the left scrollbar to find the SPM RC KITT page.

Nice site man! Looking at all the pics of those models really puts me in the mood to go and purchase some stuff off of eBay and make my own like I used to, back in the day. That SPM K.I.T.T. is pretty cool too, like I said the only SPM model I've seen released so far. The process you went through for each model sounds like both a major pain and a lot of fun at the same time. I'm also surprised how accurate the dashboard is for the Knight 2000 model.

KITT slot car

Post by corlando52 » Sat Oct 02, 2004 8:15 pm

I bought myself a mini Z shell, put it on a slot car chasis I got over the internet, bought a front and brake light system, and made myself a KITT slot car! I had to put in a voltage regulator for the scanner since a slot car track gives you over 12V of power, but it works great and looks cool going across the track. The rear lights and front fog lights are on all the time, and the rear lights glow brighter when you release the speed controller (brakes lights!)
It's very cool.

...thanks. Wooden tooth picks are a modellers best friend  seriously, they were really handy painting the little bits of the dash. I used the same trick on a 1/32 F14 jet (60cm long)only recently on the cockpit and that came out a treat....should be some pics on the updates page somewhere.

What does it mean? Does the mini-z release harmful radiations?
Any idea what the above pic is trying to say abt the mini-z sarfraz?

..you got me. I suspect its got something to do with the chemicals in the batteries but I doubt it. We all have so many battery powered appliances that I wouldn't have thought it was that.

If I were to guess, it might have something to do with the chips inside the car (the one for the scanner or for the radio control). Those of course require more than just battery power (resistors, capacitors, ect.) so possibly something to do with those.

Well let's just hope the upcoming 1:18 scale models don't come with the same warnings. They too are battery powered.
