I thought the saddest episode was "One Gassy Knight," when Michael ate six bean burritos at the beginning of the episode, and KITT's gas tank was topped off with low-test fuel. The sounds those two made brought me to tears.

I thought old Ed Bown was really cute in the repeats on BBC2 when I was younger. (Ah, the naive days of youth, it was what, 4,5 years ago? where's my pension booklet...)
I was a fan of Sgt. Brown too, until he got slightly - worrying - in the last few episodes (didn't it transpire that he was a sports coach for under privileged children - in a vest? And then he moved in with Ironside, after Mark married?) Anyway, yes, it was strange to see Ed pop up - twice - in Knight Rider.

I'm not a fan of Stevie, so I have to pass on the 'Trilogy' episodes, I'm afraid. I have a couple of favourite 'sad' moments, though - Kitt's scanner dying as Michael walks away from him in 'Knights of the Fast Lane'; and Michael promising he'll come back for Kitt in 'Junkyard Dog', as well as telling Kitt about how he learned to deal with the trauma of being shot in the face.
