I gotta ask, what is the big deal with Ski-Mode? I keep hearing/reading fans want to see it in a big way, but I don't get it. I was never impressed with the ability (I was impressed with the stunt driver holding the balance, though).

To me, it just seems like a useless ability. Especially on a car that can jump and is indestructible. Can someone share some insight?

I agree with what a lot of people posted here. What I thought the best quality of this episode was KITT watching and learning from westerns. His conversations with Mike about them gave KITT a personality, rather than a computer. I felt this was a great addition to the episode and do hope it continues!
An annoyance of mine was how KITT almost seemed to narrate the episode. He repeated WAY too much of what was said. KITT didn't need to say "Closing gate, scrambling codes" after Mike told him to "Close the gate, and scramble the codes". A simple shot of the gate closing would suffice.
KNIGHT RIDER RELOADED is a series of movies on Youtube to represent a different creative avenue to the Knight Rider we knew in 2008-09.

Ditto, though it's not exactly useless, helps in getting through narrow openings I guess. But it's one thing I wouldn't miss and it wasn't even used a lot in the original series, especially compared to Turbo Boost being over used.

Why didn't Kitt Micro-lock the brakes on Shawn's SUV before he went over the cliff?

Or grappling hook into the SUV... and retro thrust to stop it.

Does the new Kitt even have these kinds of options?

Maybe, but it IS easily the most impressive stunt done on the show.

The second episode still misses logic sometimes, like the first episode. At least, I lost the line when the race started. But there was a thing that made me angry even more.

It's a bad ideology of the series:
1) people are sharks and feed for sharks
2) if you rob a thief it's not a robbery

And an Ukrainian mob made me feeling sick. Why the hell he is an Ukrainian? That's a steritype of people which are not bright.

Some KI3T's options do not seam to me realistic.

I got the impression that the band in the bar were called 'The Parlor Mob' as they are mentioned in the opening credits as Mike arrives. Was it a song by them perhaps?

I always hated when KI2T turbo-boosted or when in ski-mode, you could see the bottom of the car
I think that was mostly when KITT was supposed to be in Auto-Cruise, and they didn't want you to see the driver.

Oh yeah, TO EVERYONE: Ski Mode is cool, even when they did it on The Dukes of Hazzard.....maybe it's because they didn't use it Too Much :?: So they didn't 'kill' it, so it was something a little different than Turbo Boost.

Does the bottom of Kitt look like plastic to anyone else?

The one with a beautiful red car and Russian surname. I guess, the writes and producers do not know that Uklraine and Russia are two different countries.

Maybe. The car looks too heavy for me.
When it transforms it's detiles looks a bit too thin.
I absolutely do not understand WHY they need KI3T to show pictures on his hood. It's just does not seem realistic, as well as stupid, because it is easy to see for everyone.
The story with Mike's tatoo is ridiculous. I ubsolutely do not understan how it could be.
etc., etc.

Too bad they can't do it now :). KI3T has too big of wheels and to small of tire sidewall too logically pull of this maneuver and he also sits too low. In "Attack Mode" he possibly could do it but the front tires sidewalls are still a bit tiny and he is still too low. Back in the 80's this was a big thing and was a cheap thrill with a ramp and a stunt driver and you where set you put a ramp in front of KI3T and kiss that bumper goodbye without having the car raised 2 inches and if you did that KI3T would look ridiculous :). I think if they CGI it, it will look ugly and not be worth the VFX time. They could master a Turbo Boost flip which would be impressive even with crappy CGI :).

It just looks awful! They didn't even clean it up so it looked like my mom Buick after a couple runs in the dust. The car of the future better have some under paneling. All super cars have it now and any high speed race car has it has well to help reduce drag and help with down force. If your traveling in excess of 100mph and want to turn, you better have it!!! Even my 1991 car has it!!!! --Toyota MR2.

It's funny that they hardly ever showed the car's engine under the hood. But they was more than happy that
once or twice an episode you got to see the tranny exhaust and cheap GM engineering lol.

-pout!- Ski Mode is totally one of the coolest things Kitt could do, mostly because he didn't do it often! Heck, Slammin' Sammy's Stuntshow would have sucked without it :P And isn't there one whole episode that semi-revolves around the fact that Kitt can do that? It's like some random super group of drivers going to rob something and they pick Michael and Kitt to be on it because Kitt's the only one who could go on two wheels like that. And then there's that episode that it was the only thing Kitt could do to keep from crashing either into two semi's or falling off a cliff. Ski Mode pwns XD And that's cause Jack Gill is amazing and can probably defy physics. The only thing I like better than ski mode is the flame thrower. Plenty of times it would be useful on tailgaters XD

I can see an immediate problem with Ski-mode in this new KR.

The problem will have blue neon and the letters KR, and will completely evaporate any coolness the scene might otherwise have held. :(

I'd like to think that isn't there when it isn't in attack mode. But they haven't spelled out just what the car can and can't do in attack mode yet.

Only the small scale models looked plastic in my opinion. The bottom of kitt when he was driving on two wheels looked just like a regular transam would. Even looks like kitt had a Fram oil filter. I am sure they thought about covering the bottom but it would be to much work and possibly dangerous. covering the exhaust system could create a hazzard as the heat building up could start a fire.
Booonnnnnzzzzaaaaaiii!!!!!!!! As michael turbo boosts to score the extra point. His face is so funny when he yells this and when he hits turbo boost his eyes get huge and he flies back into the seat

this episode is better than the first But it 's so far from the level of the the original show the transformation in pickup is horrible and Useless why he is transformed in pickup?????????????? and the idea of turbo boost with the vocal voice is not good the button are much better :good: and why he make the turbo boost only in attack mode :?: :? :!:
