Knight Rider: The motion picture

Okay, the anticipatingly awaiting for the KR: motion picture
to come out by next year, (rumours to be April 2005),
im too excited already, KITT aka Knight Industries 3000),
im assuming, KITT rides again


i may not be the first in line when KR: the motion picture comes out,
but there's another situation, that i am kinda disappointed the actor
who's playing the character of Michael Knight, or to whom being the
driver behind the wheel............Ben Affleck.

..................................out of all the young talented actors out there,
or even some new actors whom we never even heard of, why???? Ben Affleck, im not hating on his credibilty, but......my opinion, NO.
does anybody have any other opinion or ideas whom could play the role?,
and make this motion picture (or franchise) to keep it alive, cuz i can tell
you now,....i dont know (nodding my head in disbelief), Ben Affleck.

Well fortunately, or unfortunately, Ben Affleck is just a rumor at this point. The movie is still in the development stage and no start date for filming has been set. Hasselhoff last we heard was taking it to a different production company because the company that was producing the film didn't want the car to talk. Other names have been tossed around besides Affleck, some that you might like a little better, if you do a search on the board you should be able to find them.

So breathe a little easier, cause nothing certain yet.

It's all about money. If it's a hit, I'm sure they'll go into negotiations for a series. With David Hasselhoff and Glen Larson in charge though, I have a lot of hope as opposed to other movie producers ruining the franchise just to make some money, as what seems to happen with every franchise.

So many remakes or based on true stories, etc., there's less and less good original material I think. I'd rather see something left alone than have a crappy remake or movie based on it tarnishing its image. But like I said since those guys are in charge I have some hope that it will be done right. I was hoping that David Hasselhoff would be playing Michael Knight and that the star of the film would be his son, played by whatever actor takes the job, rather than a different actor playing him. That's the way it should be done, I think.

I feel that the standard for a quality movie these days is lower than what it used to be, and people-- especially the younger generations don't know the difference. A mediocre movie 10 years ago is almost, if not, better than the best Hollywood can do nowadays. But there's always exceptions to everything, every once in a while and I mean once in a while something good comes along. Anyway that's all just my opinion on things, not to be taken too seriously.

Movies scheduled to come out in December 2005 are already in production; Knight Rider doesn't even have a studio backing it yet. Realistically I think we're looking at a summer 2006 release at the earliest. They could probably fast-track it in time for Christmas 2005, but they'd have to act quickly.

I still think that the guy from Italian Job, the head driver, should be the younger version of Michael Knight, he's everything Hasselhoff wants, smart, sexy, and looks like it! Afleck is a horrible actor and they only want Paul Walker just because of the Fast and Furious crowd

you know i wish they would get there head out of there*** and tell us something.
this is starting to tick me off with them pushing it back and pushing it back i mean come on who here wants this movie before the next ice age.

Why does it have to be a familiar face though playing the new hero? Why not cast some actor we don't know much about. Look at Dave, before he did Knight Rider he was an unkown (Okay, soap opera stars don't count), then he finnaly hit big with Knight Rider. I wouldn't mind seeing a virtural unknown playing the hero. Yes, its a gamble, but it could be pulled off.

action hero, but....... FAST n the FURIOUS franchise is for him, but
also ive heard that he is rumoured to be in the remaking of the Dukes of Hazard motion picture. Don t ask me how i know, i guess from some collegues of mine, but.....n e way

i agree with the no-name actor to come and play it. it wouldnt really be a gamble on OUR part cause they would audition him of course. more so a gamble on HIS part...your first movie can make or break you.

...but we know its going to be good so he should be ok : )

What about William Daniels ? will he return as K.I.T.T? for me, that's the most important thing! cuz in my opinion, William Daniels is the star of the show, rather than David hasselhoff!

of course i would be happy to see all the cast members,but again - without William Daniels, the new movie will be a crappy one

I think it was a given and even David said that William Daniels would return as K.I.T.T. But remember Mr. Daniels is in his late 70s so his part might not actually be all that big. But it would be great to hear his voice again.

Okay...as far as i can recall
David Hasselhoff will play a role as Michael Knight
(but more as the supervisor/boss-like character)
like Devon Miles/Wilton Knight seeking for a new
Michael Knight to take over (to keep FLAG alive again),
Now, as for Devon Miles, there will be a hologram image
of him.
Now....my idea for the film franchise (just an idea):
Who will play the new Michael Knight? dunno
but they should have Bonnie back (Patricia McPherson)
and April back (Rebecca Holden) working together
for the first time, and a third technician (a young famous celeb)
making a cameo appearance in the movie.
and you gotta bring back RC3 (Peter Parros), and..
of course, KITT (William Daniels) [The Knight Industries 3000]
this time in a RAM-air Ws6 style RAM-Air Firebird/TransAm/or Firehawk,
and if they have to...destroy the red Pontiac Banshee.
Also....have KARR (Peter Cullen) back, but this time working with
KITT as well, and yes....KARR does have a driver, a female driver.
For the film, make this movie a more darker side, dramatic/humor
make KITT more meaner, (i mean KARR will be scared of KITT)

This is just my idea concept, if u want to use it, go right ahead,
all i want in return to see, is an AWESOME movie, and will not be
disappointed, besides, to go out and see a movie nowadays are
expensive, so if you want me to go see it again 3times.......
and i know everyone will agree,......when the movie comes out,
I WANT MY MONEY's worth.

the best part in your story (in my opinion) is that Patricia McPherson and Rebecca Holden will work together

It won't be like the starsky & hutch movie cuz David Hasselhoff had refused to make fun of the show. fore he's sake (Hasselhoff) i hope the new movie will stay faithful to the fans.

personally i hope to see K.I.T.T (William Daniels) and not K.I.F.T or any other stupid ideas like that

but one of the most important things is to have a proper budget... without it , we will see something similar to the "Knight Rider 2000" tv movie
