Which one do you think is better?

Edit: The Knight 4000 pic is from a guy who owns a replica of it and owns this website: http://www.knightriderhistorians.com

The knight 3000 car looks better then the knight 4000 car but the dash in the knight 4000 looks better then the knight 3000.

I don't think I like either. See if they would have merged the knight 3000 interior from the 2 hour movie and the 2008 series. Kept the lower console screen, kept the modified gullwing steering wheel, the heads up display windshield, the blue/red neon lights under the top of each dash, I think it would have looked better then just the white round snowglobe on the center part of the dash.

The knight 4000 is pretty dull as well especially when coming from the knight 2000 dash from season 4. Sure it had a wider monitor in the lower console similar to the knight 3000, a few extra monitors on the passenger side and a fax/printer because at that point they realized even if Wilton Knight always believed that one man could make a difference, a team would be even better. Which is why the 80's had everything on the driver side of the car and nothing but fiberglass dash on the passenger side lol. I think the knight 4000 had grey or black bucket seats that resembled kitt's which I liked.

The entire exterior of the knight 4000 was a fail for me. I know they couldn't get licensing to use the Pontiac Banshee so they had a Dodge Stealth converted into a Banshee look-a-like.

Can't use the image insert function for some reason.

You know who to blame for that:

Don't even get started on the movie itself...

The movie wasn't all that bad as most reunion movies went at the time. David said in a video interview he really enjoyed being the knight rider againeven if it was only 5 years later. He was mobbed by fans during filming for his autograph. They wanted to make it a movie of the week with 5 movies a year. If you notice the subtle nods to the Knight of the Phoenix such as someone important dying/killed off Wilton Knight/Devon Miles. Michael Long shot in the face changing his identity / Sean McCormick shot in the head and her personality received an upgrade with the chip that made her sister of Kitt. Michael Knight shot on the same side of the chest as Sean toward the end of the movie and both of them wearing a disguise after getting shot.

Am I the only one who thought KIFT's engine noise was quite obnoxious? It was like he was complaing about looking like a tomato on wheels!

We used to call Kitt the tomatoemobile back in the late 90`s early 2000`s. Even the noise was reminiscent of the jet sound Kitt had in the 80`s. Someone sure did their research for this movie.

Sorry for the late reply, but the tomatoemobile thing cracked me up good after a bad day. :D

You know, I was outside today and you know those little cars kids drive, like the toy ones? It had a high pitched engine noise like KIFT's, and so I thought to myself, is that KITT? XD

I think the Knight 4000's dash is undoubtedly more futuristic looking but I have to say that I really loved the Knight 3000's voice orb. Now if you were to combine the two and have the voice orb with all of those giant LCD panels built-in to the dash (or like the original Knight 3000 dash from the pilot movie), THAT would be awesome.

I still stand by the idea that the Knight Rider 2000 movie, missing some key elements and characters and as dark as it was, is highly underrated by fans. It actually is not bad at all for a movie-of-the-week format and given that it was made for television and not the big screen, I think they did a decent job. Keep in mind that as far as the tomatomobile is concerned, the Pontiac Banshee was at the cutting edge of futuristic car design back in 1990 and the Knight 4000 came pretty damn close to emulating the overall look very well. Red probably would not have been the choice I would have made for the color of the exterior (really, is there anything better than a deep black?), but given that red was my favorite color growing up, 10-year old me didn't mind it at all.

I don;t know about you, but I think the Knight 4000's dash looks like a cheap grayed out plastic dash that came from a bad Italian seller.
