Been a while since I've posted, but just watching parts of the episode, and looked at a more recent view of Endless Summer. I decided to look to see if the nearby pier was the same one that K.A.R.R. was parked near. It appears it was, the scene where Mandy is running to the parking lot was filmed from roof of the Seal Beach P.D. The stairs leading down from the concrete ramp leading to the pier are long gone and the bathroom entrances are now covered by a roof. (Actually, looks more like the ramp was rebuilt at some point). The pier has a lighthouse at the end now. The parking lot maybe a bit smaller...

And I found the location of John and Mandy's apartment and garage. The house and garage were torn down and replaced, but the surrounding houses and apartments are the same.
