The new kitt car could be a ....
Interesting little tidbit I noticed this week reading usa today.
The article was regarding the popularity of lamborgini doors on cars nowdays.... Major custom king George Barris got a set for a new Pontiac GTO for a new project.
The thought just popped into my head that Kitt could end up a gto.
Speculation

My Thoughts
The next evolution of KITT should be a natural progression of the original series car -- which need not follow the natural progression of Trans Ams since 1982. I would prefer that a new KITT not be obviously based on any car that's been on the market... and that a new KITT wouldn't resemble the Knight 4000 either. Yeesh.

No heat from me. That's the closest looking car to the 3rd generation Trans Ams (aside from the Camaro, of course).mythos219 wrote:Too bad GM just nixed the GTO for good. Personally, and I know i'm gonna get heat for this, but I think KITT should be a corvette Z06.
I was really disappointed with the latest 'Vette body style, though. Only because it was barely changed. And that's probably because the guy who designed it (who also designed the Pontiac Aztek ) probably figured the less he changed it, the less he could screw it up.

Absolutely, definitely, postitively, NO WAY!KRFAN wrote:kitt in a ford gt 40
what do u think ?
KITT has to be a GM product, certainly a Pontiac will be a bonus.
NOTHING ELSE WILL BE ACCEPTED!
Yes, the GTO (originally our Holden Monaro) is the most viable option, the fact it is no longer in production will make no difference to it's appeal. If anything, this will increase it's apppeal ...

I say just build a new car entirely. They won't have to rely on a common everyday car so that they can have multiple vehicles for stunts; this time they'll have a big studio budget. There's also no limits design-wise, so they can go as tricked-out or as conservative as they want. Keep the original Trans Am as it always was and show a "passing of the baton," as Maddock put it, in Knight Rider 2000. Just as long as they stay away from the hokey design style that the Knight 4000 had.

Hi guys. Just like to say what has been on my mind about the new KITT for the new movie if it should happen. Back in 1982 when Knight rider was new, Glen A.Larson had the first 2 new Pontiac Trans-ams off the production line to do the pilot episode. A car that the General public would of had no or very little knowledge about. (I'm assuming). So when (thinking positive here) they do a movie, I think it should be the same sort of deal. A brand new car with some exterior mods like the custom front nose and rear black out and killer dash. Something that will blend in a bit, but be different enough to make you want one for 20 years!!! Also I think it would be cool if the new K.I.T.T had the Adaptive Camaflough from the Bond 007 Aston Martin Vanquish. Couldn't over use it though. But its gunna be hard to do something impressive we haven't already seen on movies like Fast and Furious and shows like Pimp my Ride, not to mention the stuff which is in standard cars now!!! Oh well, we'll have to wait and see I guess. Thanks for reading my 2 cents!
Knight Rider, it rules my life. Can't stop thinking about it! I am obsessed!!!!
