KI I never said you were wrong. I didn't come right on out and say it. All I said was that I hadn't heard of any. That doesn't mean that you're wrong. I own one too, that doesn't make me any more special that it does you. I don't visit Knight Registries very often any more. Why? Because they always ...

In the four years I've been going to the Knight Nationals I've never heard of anyone saying there car had been vandalized. Of course most people with a Kitt conversion don't go where it's going to be beat. My TA won't be coming to the east coast until I've got a garage to put it in. And my fiancé's ...

Now we've got two different types of racing in this thread. The one that was mentioned first was NASCAR. The cars they use in NASCAR are a little bit closer to the cars the average U.S. Joe drives on the street, although they are souped up. The Indy 500 is an open wheeled race. The cars are very dif...

I think it'd be neat to see Kitt start off a race... even if he didn't go out everytime there was a caution. Now, I've never seen a race live, but I do know how big those cars are. Does the Pontiac Grand Prix, that paces the races now, look any better or worse compared to those cars? To me there is ...

DJGM2002 did a great job with that picture. I was a little leery about seeing Kitt in one of the 2nd gens, but that looked great. I've always been a fan of any kind of Trans Ams, the 3rd gen was my favorite for obvious reasons. The 57' Chevy was/is a very nice car for it's time, but it's just...

Actually I had thought about suggesting the Dodge Charger as well.

Image

*shrugs* I'm trying to keep an open mind. I liked the Dukes of Hazard too, but the car you see above and the original look almost nothing alike.

Why does it have to be American? Technically the car wouldn't 'have' to be American, but here are my reasons why an American car might work a little bit better. I don't see very many foriegn cars that grab attention; if they do they're so far out of reach by most people that the car isn't seen very ...

Sorry pdennis93. When they brought back the Mustang a few years ago I had heard that it was front wheel drive. My mistake; one I'm very thankful to be wrong about. :) Need to do more research.

We've had a few different suggestions about which car they should/could use as the new car for Kitt. Some have suggested the foriegn econo cars (ricers; as some like to call them.)... yet others have suggested that we use a different brand of american car (fords, dodge, ect.)... and still others hav...

I agree with KI on this one. One of the main reasons why Kitt went into the Trans Am was because it was a car you could see almost everywhere. It's not the most common car, but it's still not one of a kind. Remember all of the undercover work Kitt and Michael did. To me the red of the car in KR2000 ...

And there you have it. The numbers never lie. In this case the new style may have had something to do with it. When a car is redesigned it's sales do go up for a few years, then trail off. That's why you'll see new designs come out every few years. I still think the show did have a small impact. Gue...

Sorry to do that to you, but somethings you can't always control. :) If you ask Rusti real nice she might let you follow. Last I knew there were a few of us that would meet at Nats. Rusti lives in IL, last I knew she was the closest to you that'll be going. Another place you might ask is on the Knig...

This topic has been brought up many, many times. If you were to put a poll up the vast majority would vote for the old '82 Trans Am. As for other choices? They'd probably be ignored. As for Pontiac not promoting Kitt... I think it might have something to do with the amount of changes the car had don...

lol I'll try, but right now I can't make any promises. Driving without the drivers side mirror isn't easy, especially around here.

I'm sure you'll get your truck Rusti. I know I look forward to seeing it. :)

TKR could've been very good. I can't say if a different name would've helped it or not. Over all I liked the storyline and the characters. For a TV show the stunts were pretty good too. When I think about it, I do believe they focused on the cars enough. Many times they would pause while the cars ba...

I'm sorry to hear about your parents house and about your sister and Dad being sent overseas. I know how hard it is when someone you love leaves. Hey CK, if your about an hour away from me then maybe we could hook up and do a convoy out to Nats. I believe the drive from this direction should be about the same as coming from the other direction, which was about 8 1/2 hours. Guess we'll see. :) Yeah, I live in Philly now. My fiancé is originaly...
