Rank the Seasons
Hi everyone Being the nerdy mathematician that I am, I rated every episode out of 5 during my last watch through. Here are my seasons in order of average result (lowest first) and a couple of significant episodes, both positive and negative. Basically anything that I gave a 5 star rating to is label...

Re: KNIGHT RIDER ON TV
Just to add, I assume yo mean the SpikeTV showings rather than Forces TV I have just checked that broadcast, and interestingly, it has the pre-credits teaser AND..........a stereo soundtrack! It's only a minor detail, but Season 4 has never been released in stereo before, so this is a good opportuni...

Re: KNIGHT RIDER ON TV
... ForcesTV seems to showing versions that ITV had in the 80's, without the "cold open" before the main title sequence. They are not the same source that ITV used, as the episode "Give Me Liberty...Or Give Me Death" features the same music substitution as the Blu-Ray release. T...

Re: Knight Rider broadcast restoration
Yes, I think the KOTJ VHS has "Hi-Fi" on the spine, but the actual content I am unsure of.
The annoying thing is I actually owned it a number of years back, but once I had bought the DVDs I had no use for it so sold it on eBay!

Re: Knight Rider broadcast restoration
Sadly nothing to report at present. As detailed above, the only things I am missing to make my collection "complete" are stereo soundtracks for "Knight of the Juggernaut" and "Burial Ground". The show is being repeated on two UK channels at present, but it will take a w...

Re: Changing battery in ERTL 1:18 Die Cast KITT
That's awesome thanks so much
I didn't realise it was as easy as that.
I've got the batteries out now - just need to pop to the local store tomorrow and pick up some replacements.

Changing battery in ERTL 1:18 Die Cast KITT
Hi all A bit of a random question, but I got around to finally having somewhere to display my 1:18 car collection. Needless to say the pride and joy of the collection is KITT! However, I noticed that the LED scanner no longer works. I would like to change or remove the battery (to avoid corrosion da...

UK Blu-Ray - sound glitches?
Hi all I've been working my way through Knight Rider on Blu-Ray, and tonight watched The Ice Bandits. To my surprise, the sound goes very quiet for a moment in a few places, and there's quite a few occasions that have what I can only describe as static clicks. I have the replaced disc which features...

Re: Knight Rider broadcast restoration
Just to raise this up again, in case of any new members looking. I have also now added subtitle tracks to all episodes. So all I am still missing is stereo soundtracks for the season 4 episodes "Knight of the Juggernaut" and "Burial Ground". If anyone is able to help, or if anyon...

Re: Knight Rider broadcast restoration
To clarify, I will not be distributing these episodes freely, nor looking to make money from them. However if you have bought the Blu-Rays and are interested in my project, feel free to get in touch with me. Thanks to jeremy123, it has been established that the subtle difference in the opening credi...

Re: Knight Rider broadcast restoration
The collector's edition vhs/dvds from Columbia House have the different season 2 openings. The only difference I noticed was one scene that lasted maybe a second. Its the second scene after Rebecca's credit. You might find these dvds on ebay or I could send you the clip. What music was missing from...

Re: Knight Rider broadcast restoration
There was a lost intro from the episode Knight of the Drones check in this link: http://knightriderhistorians.blogspot.pt/2013/07/the-lost-knight-of-drones-opening.html Yes, that's what I based my restoration on. There is only 1 very short clip (about half a second) of KITT's dash that I could not ...

Re: Knight Rider broadcast restoration
Thanks. I agree it would certainly not be for me to be creating my own discs and selling them or anything like that. I see it as more of a "preservation project" than anything else. Having access to lots of off air recordings helps for the most part, and I'm confident that all but the most...

Re: Are some episodes missing scenes on the DVD/Blu-Ray?
Hang on. The Blu-Ray has it split into 2 parts and removed the teaser from the start of the episode with Edward Mulhare announcing the 2 Hour season premiere. Mind you this is the UK Blu-Ray as well. But I was presuming they are all the same as they come from the same source. The UK Blu-Ray set fea...

Knight Rider broadcast restoration
Hi all New to the group, but a long time fan! I've been working on a personal project of mine to restore the episodes to how they were originally broadcast, using the UK Blu-Ray set as my starting point. Most episodes are fully complete on the release, so nothing is required. Where there are edits, ...
