Re: Sorry to bring bad news

Well at least the cars haven't been destroyed yet. This was the final sign of the old kr being cancelled. They weren't destroyed though many of the Pontiac donated Trans Am cars were destroyed during production due to the nature of the Turbo Boost stunts. The driving/hero cars were put in storage at...

Re: SEE KARR's FRONT NOW!

Hats off to the CGI team for KARR, it looks great (as a piece of animation) In terms of plot i dont see it as plausible though. The prototype shouldnt have MORE capabilities.... KARR was designed as an exo-skeletal AI-enhanced powersuit capable of infiltrating any modern urban environment with it's...

Re: Sorry to bring bad news

I think they are striking the SSC set because it's no longer needed with the transition to FLAG as it's not common practice to strike large key sets in most studios due to the complexity and expense of set builds these days unless the studio prefers it or the show is moving to another studio. I will...

Re: Live Discussion - Don't Stop The Knight

It's doable with an interior mockup but the new KITT doesn't have the obvious "WOW!" interior with readouts and such that the old one did so I don't think you would get anything out of it as far as neat looking shots go.

Re: Cant get any support

It's the Internet. The KR fanboys are just as douchey as the KR naysayers are when they have something to say. Just get over it and move on. Posting on other forums that are not KR specific will only attract ridicule and contempt from people who see you as pissing on their lawn with your own opinion...

It just looks like a VFX goof to me or perhaps a not quite finished shot made it in there. Sometimes those things happen when time is critical.

Re: How can KITT defeat the monter that KARR is now?

I see this ending the way IRON MAN ended.Big fight between, our hero and his boss. Remember they said KARR was part cyborg. I think Torres jumps in the driver seat, when he learns Mile is coming after him. So you think Torres is bad? Torres is DEFINITELY bad though not in a villain kind of way. He ...

Got two new shots of KARR at the end. One of him revealing himself to Torres and another of him taking a swipe at KITT.

Vaguely. It's just a montage of random KITT footage with the cast names put on the screen before or just after their faces are shown. KARR's schematics are shown at the beginning.

Re: Live Discussion - Don't Stop The Knight

Looks like we got new opening credits for the next few episodes. It will be interesting to see if any of this episode's plot ties into KARR returning. I have to say that Turbo Boost over the prison fence was somewhat strange looking to me. Like it was unfinished or something.

Re: What Ford would you want KARR to be?

well i think we all know the answer what KARR is another GT500Kr Are you sure about that one? KARR will be a Mustang GT500KR. They simply swapped out the red scanner for a yellow one and used the Hero KITT as KARR for the vehicle shots. Basically the same thing the original show did with the yellow...

Re: finally an nbc commercial

There is no stated canon reason as to why KARR's scanner was yellow in KVK though the script says "KARR's distinctive yellow scanner" as if it has always been that way or it was written that way on purpose to differentiate the two vehicles with KARR later getting repainted to give more dis...

Re: LIve Discussion Thread - Knight Fever

It's actually pretty logical as to why KITT didn't detect the nanovirus as it is a pretty small thing and his sensors are probably not that sensitive. Since the nanovirus was in the shielded canister when the EMP was deployed it is logical that the nanovirus was not affected by the EMP though you'd ...

What is the "Asgard"? It's a race of aliens from Stargate SG-1. They look like the stereotypical little grey humanoids with almond shaped eyes that you hear about in those alien abduction reports. In the show, the Asgard allied with the human race against several enemies and shared advanc...

Re: Does NBC include those that watch the episodes thru the net?

They do look at the numbers but it factors more into the post-broadcast popularity of the show and determining how much effort to put into merchandising and other things. The traditional logic at NBC (and most networks) is that if you really like the show, you will simply watch it when it airs and b...

What was the purpose of that pointless sparring scene between Ravai and Sarah? Plotwise, it was to show that Sarah is training to become a more useful member of the team instead of just another brain with a nice butt. If you read some of the supplementary material, you can see references that Sarah...

I wonder what NBC expects from the ratings seeing as it is New Year's Eve..........Also, what did Charles mean when he said to Ryan Arrow about KITT's '"original prototype'"? KITT (K2000) or KARR(KARR(E))? The prototype referenced in the episode IS the KARR you will be seeing in the upcom...

Hopefully the future of the franchise resembles this in no way whatsoever but it certainly is cute. More 80's than Knight Rider really ever was I think.

Re: Supporting the series / Supporting the franchise

Lost Knight brought up a very good point: "No Knight Rider is better than bad Knight Rider". And I agree with him. But I don't think we have "bad Knight Rider" here. We've had some bad episodes, but I think the show still has potential. Team Knight Rider really wasn't worth savi...

Re: What if the Old KITT is in an Emulator within the New KITT?

I'm not sure why the fanboys have to keep revisiting this topic of discussion over and over again every few days but yes it is (theoretically) possible. If you're holding out for them to flip a switch and have William Daniel's voice magically appear instead of Val Kilmer's voice, forget it. If the K...

Re: Knight Rider on Blu-Ray?

For the record, NONE of The Dark Knight was shot digitally. Wally Pfister (DP of both recent Batman films and Nolan's DP of choice for the time being) and Chris Nolan are film junkies. Neither one of them really likes shooting digital, at least not what is currently available anyway.
