For the past decade since from 2002 there has been rumors of a Knight Rider Feature Film being in development from movie deals with Revolution Studios to now The Weinstein Company who purchased the rights to the 80's Knight Rider TV Series from the series creator the late and great Glen A Larson back in 2006
Now the current status of the Knight Rider Feature Film Project is supposedly up in the air,because back in 2007 a video message was broadcast to the Knight Rider Convention from Glen A Larson confirming that a Knight Rider Motion Picture would be in development and would be on the horizon in the future. Now according to the Weinstein Company they are now developing the long awaited Knight Rider Feature Film.
Now The Weinstein Company has hired screen writer Brad Copeland to draft a new script for the film,now more rumors have surfaced of actors Chris Pratt and Danny McBride being in talks for roles but its just pure speculation and hasn't been confirmed as of yet because the draft script is still to be completed so its unknown what genre the film will be aiming for. Now with the recent passsing of Glen A Larson its best not to get your hopes up of a Knight Rider Feature Film being released. But we're still hoping that the Weinstein Company actually has the drive and motivation to get the Knight Rider Feature Film Project going and not to push the project under the rug like previous attempts to develop a feature film.
Now we know for sure that production hasn't even started yet on the Knight Rider Feature Film because of the script still being completed but it may take months or even years before a script has been finalized and will be used for the film production.
