Not sure if this is old news, but here's a recent communication between myself and RC2.
E-MAIL TO faq@racn.com:
"To whom it may concern.
Originally, collectors were made aware of RC2's plans to produce a 1:18 scale model of the 1982 Trans Am Recaro edition in 2005, but since then there has been no word on the project.
Are there still plans to release this model or any Trans Am variable from 1982 to 1992?
Thank you for your time."
THEIR REPLY:
"Phil-
Right now there are no plans to introduce a 1982 Trans Am Recaro edition in the coming months.

it looks like we will have to hope greenlight collectibles will come out with this car. they are already producing the 89 GTA and the 89 turbo ta pace car in 1:18 scale.
maybe we should all request that they do this car?
