One of our members at the Foundation was lucky enough to have his KITT replica featured in the upcoming movie "Kickin' it old skool"... It is a Jamie Kennedy movie that features a cameo by none other than David Hasselhoff himself...
He was nice enough to share this bit of info and I thought you guys would like to hear it as well...
Fresh from Kickin it old Skool set & my brief, but enlightening talk to
David Hasselhoff tells me that the Knight Rider Movie is going to
be before the camera's soon.
The people who do the bonus material for the DVD interviewed him
& it leaves no doubt of David's commitment to keeping KITT with a voice
as well as not letting it become a joke.
I need to tell you all that the reason for all the stops & starts surrounding
the Knight Rider Movie is because of the tug of war between Hollywood power brokers who dont care about Knight Rider & David Hasselhoff who does care.
The bottom line is Hasselhoff won & he has dropped the Devon Holograph thing , so he will play Micheal Knight taking on Devons duty & bring an as yet un -named actor to do the young loner part.

Well that sounds promising. Let's hope it holds true.

Great news! And thanks for the info. Any word on if KARR will return? And will it eventually span into a new series?

That's sounds very promising! I REALLY would hate it if KR became another joke. What was that about Devon being a hologram? The actor wouldn't be the REAL Devon. Nobody can replace him.

I'm with whet on this one. Although I'm glad that Hasselhoff is talking about the movie, this is pretty much the same thing he said 6 months ago, a year ago, and maybe even two years ago. I know I'm usually the one telling everyone to "be patient, these things take time", but this feels more like a neutral statement from Hasselhoff, rather than encouraging news. It's not DIScouraging, just neutral.

Oh forgot to mention...
Forme, the real news will come when the next studio signs up to do the project. Producers, writers and actors can talk all they want about different movies they have in development, but until a studio actually signs a contract and makes a financial commitment those projects are just in limbo.
Now of course we know that even a studio commitement isn't completely binding, but it's a critical first step.
