Lego K.I.T.T. And BTTF DeLorean

Post by Lost Knight » Thu Oct 20, 2005 4:30 pm

I just happened to catch a picture of this on the BTTF.com website. It was a thread with the Back To the Future DeLorean built out of Lego with the clock tower. Upon scrolling down, I came across another picture of K.I.T.T. alongside the DeLorean as well. I've never seen K.I.T.T. made out of Lego before...

Damn KITT looks wicked! LOL! Wild though! I think I saw only one other lego KITT somewhere online. I like the way they did the nose/scanner on this C&D one though.

The font on the cover (that says KIT V.s....) looks fake :P

I think it's just a pic of the 2 cars placed on top of the cover :)

Looking at the gallery pics of KITT, I must say i'm impressed, I know how hard it is to make something like this out of lego

WOW! :o

Thats great building! :)

I'v made a lego K.I.T.T too only recently, but its nowhere near as big and detailed as those, i'll try to get a picture of it sometime.

I also attempted the Knight Industries Garage seen in the Pilot, but failed
:(

I love the super pursuit mode add on peices you can build for them, mine has the fins and extended nose made at the moment! :)

Now THAT is awesome. I think Super Pursuit Mode better suits the Lego model anyway. It works better since the smooth lines are a lot harder to do with Lego.

I posted some pictures of my own design LEGO Kitt a while ago on the Knight Rider Fan art-thread. Here are the pictures again. I can show you more pictures as soon as my own internet account starts working again... I've got ski-mode and turbo boost pictures also.

LEGO Kitt
Kitt front
Kitt rear (sorry it's mirrored, don't know how...)

It was a tough job building this piece, I had very limited amount of black blocks. After all it turned out quite good.

We finally got broadband!! It's the *second* day online and it's still working!! Though we had a little fight with it today when the modem couldn't find the IP address provided by the server. So here's some new pictures of my LEGO Kitt. (I did some editing though...:))

KITT from right side
KITT's nose
Ski-mode top
Ski-mode under (notice the attachment of the fog lights, my own patent :))
Turbo Boost
KITT facing a gang of bad guys
KITT and a mechanic
Kitt cruising around
LEGO Knight Rider

Hope you like these! I'd love to make a SPM Kitt, but I don't have enough blocks... dismantling the Kitt I have would be disasterous, it was so difficult to build and making assembly instructions seems impossible. :(

Nice pics :) Placing a real background image makes the photos look interesting. The first pic is my favourite, it has awesome lightning and the angle makes it look almost real photo, good job!

All these LEGO projects are making me want to go buy LEGOs now.

Very good work on these! That has to take some real time and patience to do.

Looks great, I see you've even put in the lights that often get missed.

Hey, thanks all! :)

andy-kitt: I love Kitt's foglights!! Whenever Kitt was cruising at night and he had all his lights on, it was sooo beautiful!!! I wish I could get a decent screenshot of Kitt with all his lights on. My computer won't play KR DVD:s. :(

I forgot now where that came from. But I thought it was cool. Makes KITT look sorta like a UFO. :)
