WOW WOW WOW!!! That is one fantastic car!! Whoever did that one should certainly be proud. Wish we could find the owner so I could also tell him NICE JOB!

And that wallpaper is awesome! Nice work on the part of the photographer/artist. Loved the light and blur effects! :)

I am pretty sure that was Don Colie's (Advanced Designs) personal car that he sold last year. It now belongs to a girl named, Alana, from Tenessee.

If you can contact them, let them know I really loved that car. :) BTW, I love yours too. :) How have you been doing on it? I haven't had time to go to your site and check it out lately and I should. You've got an awesome site, BTW. Love the shockwave menus. :)

Thanks Fuzzie. Don is member of this board now, so you could PM him if you want. I'm not sure about Alana, I know she is a member on the Registries board.

I just added a photo slide show of pictures from the Nationals to my site, if you get a chance stop by and check it out some time.

I have photoshop, could you tell me how you lit the foglamps in your wallpaper? Oh, and the scanner, which isn't lit in the source image

Thanks, Mike. :) I'll tell Don. Maybe he might get the message to Alana as well, hopefully. This is the only board I go on lately because of lack of time I've had lately to go to many of the boards.

the lasso tool is AMAZING. you have the round lasso tool and the Polygonal lasso tool. you use either one (polygonal is easier for those with less than PERFECTLY steady hands) to outline whatever you want and then cut and paste that image.

the scanner was the hard part. as you can see, the original scanner from that pic wasnt lit up, and i didnt have a pic from that angle of ANY scanner that was. so i took a head on scanner, cut it out and under the Edit menu went to "free transform" and "distort" to bend it to the size and position i needed it.

the fog lamps were easy though. under the "Filter" menu option, you go to "Render" and there are 3 diff. types of "lens flares" i just used those and placed them over the fog lamps. it looked weird without some on the passenger side so i stuck two over there and then used the "blur" tool to make them stick out less since you cant actually see the lamps on that side. i just wanted the light they would emit. it could still use some fine tuning but i'm over all happy with the results. my uncle is a graphic designer by profession so i have to try and keep up : )

glad you guys liked it. i'll keep my eye out for other desktop ideas for you.

Sorry Mike,

I don't think that one is Alana's.
It definately has my 1'st season style bumper and scanner, but that car is parked in front of the room I stayed in. So, it wasn't her's.

A lot of people saw her car, which use to be mine until last year. It still looks great and she has done a good job keeping it nice. Maybe someone has a picture of her car they can post?

They all start looking the same after a while, I could tell if I could see the interior.

Yeah you're right Don.
I saw Steve's Yellow Trans Am there and remembered he was on the same side as Alana, but the room numbers say otherwise.

i dont have any current pictures of my car. i've just done some nose work on the factory nose to make it mesh with the ground effects-less body. today i took some nice laquer paint and painted some of the trim items in the car silver...looks really nice.

we have pictures of a girl and her car that she got when she turned 21 (i think last year) same girl?

and yes i'll def look into making more desktops. i go through spirts of creativity. i havent made any before that in months so i'm due for a run at some : ) its realy awesome that you guys like it!
