KARR 1/43 pictures added to the HW Elite Page
There are now pictures added to the 1/43 Hot Wheels Elite homepage.
Seems that on this sized modell nothing has been changed regarding the balloon tires. Hopefully the 1/18 will have different ones.

That kinda looks like a different model. The hood, doors, and trunk, look like they can't be opened. There are windows on the model.

Nothing opens in this model but it's better this way in this scale because opening parts would cause big and ugly panel gaps. Maybe the doorwindows would've been better in down position so the nicely detailed interior would be easier to see. The strange black edge in the side windows is bothering me a bit, it feels unnecessary and incorrect. Same thing for 1/43 KITT as well.Knight Racer wrote:That kinda looks like a different model. The hood, doors, and trunk, look like they can't be opened. There are windows on the model.
I think wipers are also unnecessary detail in this model, at least in this scale. They seem to be separate parts so basically they may be removable. Wipers don't show up under the bonnet in the real Trans-Am but now they show up too much in the model.
It's different in 18th scale because there's opening bonnet and wipers will show up then in their correct location, just like in 18th scale KITT model.
I like that the silver colour have been done correctly over the wheelwells and rear bumper. Rims & bowling ball hubcaps look nicely done as well and I also like very much how nicely those foglights are done, they give that evil KARR look just like in the K.I.T.T. vs K.A.R.R. episode
Looking very much forward to get the 1/18 KARR as well

Couldn't resist taking loads of additonal photos. They have done nice details for the scale in this model (and KITT 1/43 as well), for example seats have the PMD emblems in them, dashboard top countdown lights are detailed, buttons are painted etc.

Took both KITT and KARR today for an outdoor photoshoot as the weather was sunny.
