I heard from Vic Kros that it will be sometime in August before they are released.

May is the timeframe that Minimates has always told me directly. I'll reach out and verify - but that was reconfirmed a couple of weeks ago.

Update from Diamond Select on the Minimates product for TRU. They're adding painted details to the dash, this is in addition to the stickers that are already there. As such the product will probably be released in June or July now.
