Use this topic to discuss tonights episode Exit Light, Enter Knight. We'll also be in the chat room - as usual! http://knightrideronline.com/chat" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
BAIT AND SWITCH--Mike jumps into the thick of a bank heist and tries to stop it, but instead becomes one of the robbers' hostages. Oddly, the robbers do not seem interested in the bank's money. Apparently, they have a specific plan that includes the safe deposit boxes and the husband of one of their hostages. Unable to communication with KITT and his team, Mike tries to enlist the help of the other hostages to stop the robbers from escaping. Unfortunately, one of the so-called hostages is one of the robbers, which makes Mike's job even more difficult.
This was the episode that both Sue and Mike saw being filmed, so check out the news area if you want to see all the coverage!

I think it will be interesting to see how this one ends, and if it could have been some kind of “cliff hanger” to say. If it looks as if it wasn’t, it might not have a bearing on the order of episodes being switched around.

Can't wait to see this episode because of it being the first one after the reboot and just because it's KR. I'm also happy because this is the first episode I get to see live because church was canceled because of the 10 inches of snow we have here.

NBC makes me laugh sometimes. On Wednesday I sometimes go to the NBC website because I enjoy seeing Knight Rider right on the front page for what shows are on the schedule for the evening. So its amazing how the pictures promoting the show is all 7 original cast members with Kitt, hmmmm interesting being this is the first show of the reboot with only 4 cast members and Kitt.

Amazing how NBC can't even update the picture. Yeah its something little and maybe I am nitpicking but it just shows me NBC doesn't even care.

That makes me mad to. Show just how much faith NBC has in the show. It's just plain pathetic.

I wrote the following to NBC:

Would you please update the NBC homepage?

The Knight Rider image on the homepage shows the wrong episode synopsis and incorrect cast members. Carrie Rivai has retired and Alex Torres and Charles Graiman are dead, so they should not be in the image on the NBC homepage.

The correct episode information is:

EXIT LIGHT, ENTER KNIGHT
Mike jumps into the thick of a bank heist and tries to stop it, but becomes one of the hostages. TV-PG LV

We really need to keep on NBC to keep the show, update the homepage and support the show we all love that is KNIGHT RIDER!

I emailed the people at NBC a few hours ago and asked them to fix the problem on the main page and also commented about the lack of promoting for the show. Hopefully they will fix the ad on the main page and help us get support for the series.

I tried posting that I had emailed them then but I was having trouble with the internet and it didn't go through.

Crap crap crap..... I have had a crappy day but I just realized I am going to miss KR because I am stuck at my office... totalled my car this morning on the way here. :-(

I hope the storm in the midwest doesn't cause the ratings to go down.... I know many people around here (my family and my friends - one of them having a Neisen box) are without power, and will be for a few days. He watches Knight Rider too, so that is a lost household in the computation. What does one person in the sample equal in their numbers? 1,000? I am not sure how many are in their sample audience.

This is just like TOS episode, and he called himself MICHAEL KNIGHT and KITT drove himself.

BAIT AND SWITCH
Ha, how appropriate.

Seems to be a darker tone so far than previous episodes. No time for the usually mandatory T&A, either, which is a plus. I'm disappointed that they used a tinted window car for the scenes where K.I.T.T. drives himself, though. I remember people knocking the old stunt man technique in the original series when they showed that built-in cage in the backdoor pilot. But the tinted windows is really a step back from both of these methods.

They really need to get a second season to keep this going, there's just so much potential if it's given a chance to continue. This episode has been edge-of-seat gripping from the get-go and this episode might have the snappiest dialogue yet (along with the two-parter since the villains lines in that were so good).

There was some fantastic KITT humor at the beginning too!
Also, finally getting more of the KITT driving himself stuff I've been waiting for, makes him much more of a character and this episode has finally brought it more often and has him taking actions (would have liked him to take the cover position as well on his own without Sarah saying it but it's a start and his other actions have been on his own so far)

Love it.

I agree, and also has anyone seen that Knight Industries Research website they also have? That hasn't changed for 3 weeks now. I think they may have given up on Knight Rider.

I'm stunned. This is what a KR episode should look like. It seems they finally got it right. More Kitt and Michael, less everything else. I'm still not thrilled about the I'm a girl, I can do what you can do better attitude that permeates the show. But I can live with it if the episodes continue to be like this. Major improvement.

I really liked this one. I thought KITT's humor, and interaction with the little girl was wonderful. Also, once they knew about the change to the stories arch, could they have filmed this out of order on purpose? I mean, it looks as if it could fit right in place after the KARR episode. As far as KITT tinting his windows, I thought it was OK. They were trying to keep him a big secret, so that would help. Also, they did have some widow tinting in the TOS as well if I remember correctly. Oh yeah, Billy's drool have me laughing loud. :)
