Re: Ford Commercials
I'd love that. For that matter I'd love to get the movie itself as an AVI if possible (at least until they release it on DVD so I can buy it!). Does anyone have that?neps wrote:I have them - I can send them to you. They're also available on YouTube. http://youtube.com/watch?v=eqemKcXUGfA

Re: Ford Commercials
Goldbug - I can't post the entire movie - that's pretty illegal, sorry.
I think the commercials would be fine to share complete in HD, right? It's just promoting Ford, and they don't make any money in airing them, they actually loose money.
Right?

Copyright owners always maintain the right to decide how and if their works can be shared, regardless of whether or not the borrower believes they are "doing them a favor" by sharing it.
That being said, considering the work in question here it's probably safe to assume there is an "implied consent" to share the commercials. However, should at any time the Ford Motor Company ask that their commercials not be shared, then their wishes should be honored (with the exceptions of fair-use).

Re: Ford Commercials
Neil, I leeched the commercials off the NBC Knight Rider side but the quality was bad. I'd be very thankful if you can share the HD version of the commercials with us here. Would definitely like to show those off to my friends just to promote Knight Rider (not the Focus
).

I think you're absolutely right, I called up Global here in Canada to see if they even had the commercials. After being on hold for about a total of 15 minutes and being transfered twice I was told the commercials were not supplied to them in any shape or form. When I asked if there were any legalities in obtaining them personally I was told no, it would be like obtaining a photocopy of say a Walmart flyer, "it's good for business, and they pay for it to be spread to the masses, if they don't need to pay then even better." Makes sense I guess, I always wondered about all the old teaser/commercials/paper ads I've collected over the years digitally...has anyone ever said we shouldn't have them?

Re: Ford Commercials
Ok, I'll host them for 24 hours. It's pretty long so the file is 237.77MB, but we're a bit off from our bandwidth allotment, so we should be technically ok.

It is 237.77 MB. If anyone wants to mirror it, feel free.

Re: Ford Commercials
Have these been aired again since KR's debut? If not I'm kind of surprised they put so much effort into filming commercials only used once. I watch NBC pretty often thanks to "Law and Order" and other shows but have not seen these repeat.
I'm sort of hoping if they do some type of DVD release that these are included as extras!

Re: Ford Commercials
No offense intended. Just looking to put together a nice DVD of my own for fun until they do an official release. It occurs to me that they should put one out soon - the sales would be a good indicator of success for a potential show.neps wrote:Goldbug - I can't post the entire movie - that's pretty illegal, sorry.
